A well-made torta is the most delicious thing ever.

Lime is also very good in tortas with guacamole

    and has anyone mentioned Flautas?

There are taco vendors who let you pay after you eat your tacos. (unless you take them to go)

Do not let the bastards trick you into "dos mas" which means two more.

It's an excellent way to spend more than 15 dollars eating tacos.

In the states that's usually called chile verde. I don't know if it's referred to by the same name throughout Mexico.

Also, chile verde gets it's name not from the green chiles but from the tomatillos used in the recipe.

Only if you've got a pretty low tolerance for heat or they make it much hotter than usual. Chile verde is typically medium to mild in spiciness.

chile verde isn't all that bad. Rule of thumb is the smaller the chile is, the hotter it is.

So avoid the little chiles like a motherfucker. Whatever they're called.

Philadelphia cheese with Jalapeno spread is great with chips.

I like to chop up a jalapeno or two and add it to a roast in my slow cooker. Gives it a really nice flavor.

See, it's not spicy unless you bite into a seed. It's sweet, but in a weird tangy way. Great on english muffins.

it depends, but mexican-made chili verde usually has fresh jalapeños ground right up into the sauce, which can make it pretty damn spicy if you get quite a few seeds in there

I have had meals from Taco Bell that would be comparable.
