LURKER ATTACK! Realistic pikachu made me lawl.
My friend and I are starting this thing where we pick three pseudo-random words as a topic daily, and sketch something pertinent in 20 minutes. It's just so I remember to draw every day so that I don't get rusty.
Here is the first: Topic is "Nails, USB, and stupid people"
    hpim2526bqz0.jpg

And the second: Topic is "Glow sticks, Sword, Space" (lightsabers prohibited)
    hpim2529fi5.jpg

Apologies for the crappy cam pic, my scanner is broken.

too much empty space, no flow. Try using less panels per page, it looks like it might be a chore to read when you set up that many panels.

oh? It's really too many? How would I make it flow better?

To me, that's way too many panels. I'd rather have less art that breaths better in the page than alot of cluttered panels. In any case, let's talk about flow...

    korewadamenb4.jpg

Your first page had alot of empty space between panels and speech bubbles that invaded over panels. However, your bigger mistakes on flow are evident here. Look at what's going on: Girl A slaps GigaGirl. The natural way this panel should run should be that you'd see Girl A's angry reaction before GigaGirl's stunned face. The reason is that we read from left to right, not just text.... but faces too! Also... in the last shot, the GigaGirl is facing in a totally diffrent direction than what she is in her reaction panel...

    This causes flow problems.

Ok, I'll see how I can fix that. By the by the second page is going to be completely redrawn anyway, I was just taking the photo to show that I was going to cut some of the panels I liked the first time and incoorperate them into the 2nd draft. The slap will take up most of the top of the second page to give it emphasis as per Angel of Bacon's suggestion. I'll just have to relay it out again, maybe use a lighttable to get some of the same expressions working again. ^^

You have nooo idea how long i've been lurking for. I just now made an account to post this, cause it's the first time i've thought to myself, "Hmm, I like this enough to finally post in the Doodle thread."

Contest entry for the School Agenda cover contest. The other school picked some awful... warrior.. lizard... thing.. so I figured if that crap could win, I could do a dinosaur lazering the shit out of a unicorn and win.

Dude, you realize how many non-descript rivers there are in this prefecture with a train bridge going over them? You're gonna have to be a little more descriptive or at least post a massive sign next to your guy.

I like the head that's floating over the cityscape to the right. For some reason that made me laugh alot.

As for crits, the first one has no center of balance and is tipping over a little bit. his arm and hand are also kinda big. His head also might be a little too small. His knee could also benefit from some anatomy reference.

The second one is better, but his eyes are way too close together. some few anatomy problems in the arms, but it works I guess.

The 3rd one has some problems as the first. Big hands, small hand, ect.

raven- the heads angle seems bit unnatural to me but it also might be the fact that the head itself is quite big compared to the body, ill try a paintover if I have the time =)

    Edit, okay here goes:

reduced the head size and moved it a bit so the neck is more aligned with the spine

aside from the anatomy wierdness. proportion issues mostly (head is huge). The line variation seems kinda random. Pick a scheme and stick with it. Try one of the more popular methods like 'distance from viewer' or 'light source'

EDIT: Axim, you ruined a perfectly decent picture of a car with a silly little filter. Get that filter shit outta there. Its pretty good on its own.
