Does anyone have any tips for fighting grapplers with Makoto? I seem to eat a lot of spd's and spd equivalent moves. Makoto can not afford to eat a lot of those.

A target combo is a combo where the normals cancel into each other, so the timing is more lenient.

edit: BlueDestiny thats an amazing video btw. Until now I've been using Sirlin's Super Turbo tutorials to explain street fighter basics.

I went for years thinking Street Fighter had no such thing. That MvC added them to make it more fun, and Jump Roundhouse Low Roundhouse was the only combo in existence.

Wow, those videos are great. I almost don't feel like a poseur anymore for having bought a stick without so much as understanding how frames work.

Got my copy. It's glorious. Almost murdered two meijer media employees who decided to try and discourage me from getting it by bagging on how 4 "wasn't deep enough" and they're "ruining the street fighter series."

Which XBL user were you?

It was fun, but also pretty exhausting keeping track of everyone. Next time we should stick to lobby chat instead of Party, since lobby has more spaces.

I hope the lag improves a bit though. I'm chalking it up to launch day surges, and should expect a patch in a week.

Actually, no joke, guy told me he plays Ken. He was cool and all, he'd obviously played, said he didnt like the FADC setup, just didn't appreciate having two guys that are checking me out tell me they don't like what I'm buying and his buddy that was working is just generally kind of a tool bag whenever I go in there.

Ah, gotcha. That was my initial guess, but I was thrown off by the chan suffix (which always sounds awkward in an english dub).

So, I've been giving Juri a second chance and she has pretty decent normals that can work around stuff. I dunno, she's still an interesting character, I'll probably be giving her equal time with Ibuki (who I wish I was much better at).

I am really loving Juri actually. I've been hyped about Adon for so long, but Juri actually has a bit of tricksy to her. Storing the fireballs for later, using the command focus dash thing. Its actually pretty amusing trying to play her.
