    it still says it's going to take two days

    No problem. I bet most of the seeds are US based, so yeah it'll be slower. But usually they'll have periods where they connect to a larger number of seeders and go faster.

    okay so i downloaded that huge torrent file zimfan linked yesterday and opened it in MTX, but all it did was start a new torrent for the game

    i thought the torrent i got was the game, though

    The MekTek downloader doesn't seem to want to listen to the upload speed limit I set for it, and therefore my out of control upload speed is choking my download speed. If it doesn't fix itself after lunch, I think I'll have to torrent this via a different client.

    Finally managed to get it installed and updated, despite their installer thing being utterly atrocious. Hopefully their online playing servers are less of a hassle to get into

    Yeah I had that game, too. It was pretty good fun, but I never managed to be any good at it. I always ended up getting the crap kicked out of me a few battles after the tutorial.

    So even though I still have Mechwarrior 4: Mercs installed with Mekpak 3, I still need to download the free version from Mektek in order to get Mekpak4 and play online with you homps?

    Also is their webmaster Ike Turner or something?
