Why doesn't the exit poll have a national vote percentage? They must have it on record; they just won't release it.

I think there are a variety of rules controlling the release and publication of Poll data in the UK.

Is it wrong that my biggest thought when watching all this is 'man, Charlie Brooker's special on this is going to be fantastic'?

ITV's studio is very sober. The BBC have overtaken them for garishness.

I'm partisan enough to cheer any legal challenge on if the majority of the affected seats go to the Tories.

If this is going to be a regular occurrence, then a legal challenge is vital.

I'm not say we shouldn't have a legal challenge. What I'm angry about is the fact that we are in the position where a legal challenge is needed.

    From 538:

"Washington and Sunderland West next to report. We would forecast Labour 58, Conservatives 22, LibDems 20 in that district, assuming national results of 38/28/23. Uniform swing would project Labour 61, Conservatives 20, LibDems 16."

    Actual:

    Labour 53%
    Conservative 22%
    Liberal 17%

Shaping up to be a bad night for Labour.

I am hoping this ushers in an era of three-party politics. This could be the best thing to happen in years.

    EDIT:
Fuck Labour its a bad night for Lib Dems

They'll still probably get more seats than before, and if they steal a reasonable amount from both labour and Conservatives they'll have a reasonable presence.

Well, if it's a spur for voting reform it could be very good.
