    people actually did the challenges in SKATE?

    I just grabbed my guy and skated around the city finding neat places and spending too much time fiddling around at them and setting up cool stuff

    Strangely, some people actually do the many things games have on offer. I've heard tell that people even play GTA games for the story...

    One of my favourite things in Skate 2 was those "own the spot" things.

    Man i loved those.

    Also yes, many many mmmmaaaannnynyyyy hours were spent just fiddling around with shit.

    But still, you had to unlock some of the cooler areas.

    Those who wanted to unlock more places to skate. :P

    I hope some of my local shops has the game on sale already. Official release date here is 1-2 days away.

    So how do I go about forming up a team? Or inviting you guys into it at least.

    I assume it's the same team I created for single player, and I suck people into it?

    I got the game in the mail today.. still acclimating, it feels like a skate game and hardcore mode is pretty punishing.

    edit - oh, heh the online features aren't available yet. good going EA, mail me a game, and no turn it on

    Seems like none of the online features are turned on yet, I get a bunch of errors when I start the game up.

    I'll make Lord of Dongtown tomorrow, unless someone beats me to it.

    So how is it? My xbox did the no video/GPU error thing. Got it home and no gaming before work. Fudge! Ill try to look at the doorstop when I get home from work...but damn it hurts :(

    And it looks like I'm buying an Arcade! UGH. I guess its ok...my xbox lasted since when the first Skate came out.

    Okay I have not being following Skate 3 at all. I got a LOT of playtime out of Skate 2. Hell, I randomly loaded it up for a few hours on Saturday. But without having looked at any of the new stuff, I'm wondering why I would buy #3 when #2 is still pretty awesome.

    So for those of you that have played it... should I?

    Its amazing how much a shiny new controller makes the game easier and more enjoyable. And hardcore makes everything more satisfying. Got a heelflip tail on a rail...to kickflip the gap...to nollie flip boardslide the ledge..WOW!
