I am in for the LAN. Might need a ride, but I also need to see what all i am doing this weekend so I know exactly when I will be there.

But goddammit I will be there one way or another.

    Said the absentee.

I would join for the Iron Man 2 event if I wasn't already going to a private screening Thursday night that's ran by Intel. :P

Should be an awesome movie though.

Anyone want to go to the Frontalot show with me on May 8??? It's at the High Dive, which is an awesome venue, and was really fun the last time he was there!

    Tickets are $8/10 pre-pay/door.

I've been looking forward to that show for a while. I'll be there.

And I mentioned this on Facebook, but this is probably a better spot. We should all meet up before hand for dinner and drinks before the show. Saturday is such a great day for a show.

June 5th sounds good. It really comes down to the weather. Last year we had a near perfect day for it.

Also, I'll echo the other comments and say that the LAN was awesome. Toyfort was as crazy and fantastic as always.

Did someone say something about a BBQ? O_O Oh wait, I am on a diet. Back in the day, all you can eat places cried my name.

Man, I need to go down to GameClucks one of these Fridays for their lans; I never go and it's only three blocks away.

Hmmm I need to go to one of these events before I move back to Skagit county for the summer.

super new at conventions and whatnot but I'd love to get in on this action! If BigRed is ever doing a LAN where its not just 21+ I'd love to go an I'll pay my way!

I do one thats not 21+

    Its called PAX BYOC :P

I was tossing around the idea of doing an 18+ LAN at my place but considering the 21+ ones sell out its unlikely... and having people under 21 around a lot of drinking is a liability that I don't want to deal with.

    Smart ass. :P

I host LANs occasionally, not very big, but they're free and don't have an age requirement. Next one is being planned for June 12th (not quite set in stone yet) so if anybody is interested, pm me or something.

    PAX FORUMER LAN V3.0
June 18th at around 5pm - June 20th till whenever I throw your asses out so I can get sleep for work the next day :P (probably around 8pm-ish)

    4229926621_5d065ce11a.jpg

Will be at my place, if you don't know where I live PM me for the addy.
Max 28 people (thats all that we can fit here for computers)
Bring computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, power strip, and cables (Power, video, etc).
    LAN is 21+
    LAN entry is $20
Crash space is available (I have 9 sumos, a couple couches, and lots of floorspace), as are showers. WITH THE WARMER WEATHER PLEASE MAKE USE OF MY SHOWERS! (I suggest bringing a towel, I have many but not enough for everyone)
Chairs for the LAN are provided. If you are planing on bringing your own chair please ask me first.
Ill provide lots of Non-Alcoholic drinks and snacks for everyone and dinner (Burgers and hotdogs) on Saturday

This is going to be a toasty LAN due to weather. I am buying a fuckton of fans to use in a Plan I have to keep the garage cool. (if you get cold easily don't sit by the garage doors)
Also since the weather is likely to be warm sleeping inside will be kinda fail. So I am proposing TENTS! If you have a tent you should bring it and you can set it up in the back yard for sleeping.

Also if you must smoke please do it out by the road/storage building. I know there are people coming that are very sensitive to any smoke smell. If its done near the house, the smell will come in some of the many open windows.

    OMGWTFBBQ
    4393035846_aaa7ede169.jpg

ALSO I HAVE A KEGERATOR NOW
I currently have a half of a keg of franziskaner left for the LAN. The last event I had didnt kill the keg so I cant get another one until thats gone, although its unlikely ill get another one anyway cause you need a week lead time to order.

Beer will be $2 a pint as a "HIGHLY SUGGUESTED DONATION OR ELSE YOU WILL GET YELLED AT BY BIGRED". This cost is determined so I break even on the keg (expensive). I always have good beer so it will be worth it.

    NEW POLICY:
IF YOU DONT ZERO YOUR NEGATIVE BEER BALANCE AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE EVENT IT WILL BE CONSIDERED A DONATION TO THE HOUSE! I cant keep track of tabs across many events of many different groups anymore, sorry.

    OM NOM BEER:

    Previous house party rules apply:
