You know. This game really can't decide whether it wants me to love it or hate.
It's like a vicious cycle. I'll go through match after match of putting entire magazines into guys only to have them turn around and kill me in a single burst, getting knifed from 10 ft away, my knife not working at point blank range, etc.
But then when the rage finally builds up to the point where I just want to say fuck it, I get a tolerable game where my bullets actually hit and I manage to go 20 and 3.
So polarizing.
And hell, its netcode is still better than Gears.

Luckily people rarely use sentry guns and hate underpass so it shouldn't be a big problem, I've never seen it done.
I just had a sweet 21-3 game on Crash. Could have been 21-2 if I had thrown a flashbang, but I assumed the people were on the second floor of the short building overlooking B. I got a ton of kills by shooting people going into the building then ducking behind the dumpster to reload, plus I managed to get the final kill with my pavelow for the title so win-win.
Strike really sucks with pro-pipers if they get the building overlooking B and most of the map.

DoubleP but I don't care: Sorry for bailing on you guys like that, I just couldn't handle the tubes any longer. For real, I'll complain about tubes when I die from them 50% of the time. But when, quite literally, the first non-tube death occurs about 2 min from game end and I'm sitting at 95% tube deaths, I gotta stop. Maybe those guys didn't like losing too many times—what was it 2 or 3 times?—and decided that since it was scrapyard, constant tubing would be the fuck-all way to win. Which it apparently was... I want a class that takes no explosive dmg other than frag grenades and specials. I'd run that shit no matter what.

Yeah when the tubes get ridiculous like that I generally
a) leave
b) back out with the party and rejoin a new bunch of pubs
c) tube the fuck out of them, get an AC-130, nuke'm
C4 isn't really meant to be used like a grenade. It's to mark objectives and screw people who are trying to take them. And the second scenario is why I always detonate it with the reload button double-tap.

If your reload keybind is different from your use keybind, you may want to use that. I don't know.
Of course, whether IW/Activision can/will fix these things is another matter.
The worst part about OMA tubing is that it should have been caught by a tester. Seriously, if you were a balance tester one of the things you should immediately be thinking is: what's the easiest way to kill people? Which would lead you to noob tubes. Then your next question would be: how do I make this easier? Danger Close. And finally: how do I keep this ride going? Scavenger/OMA. It's actually quite simple if you're consciously trying to break the game.
I've recently run into two other people that 'get' objective based modes, we've been partying up after we ran into each other one game and friended each other.
It's incredible the difference that having two other people who are consistently helpful rather than just playing pub games by yourself.

It should also spawn kittens and kill anything you look at.
Anyway, what's the big deal? A direct counter to tubes and RPGs.
Maybe fix tubes themselves by giving them a damage dropoff.

At this point in time I may as well be equipping a party hat to my Shield class, because equipment which costs you your mini-map and periphial vision, any other offensive piece of equipment, and has to be switched on to work and still doesn't work against a direct, non-DC explosion could use a buff.

If there was a party hat, I would be wearing that shit constantly. A functionality of it could be that instead of flares, your killstreaks use streamers and those pull-string exploding things; when they're destroyed, they explode into candy and confetti.
