I am in California, some people may have mentioned.
A friend of mine is handling the "Getting shit into my apartment" by supervising some movers... the day before.
Sooooo while it is entirely possible the iron and board will be easily found, the easier option may be going "Hey gay, we need an iron and board for fancy dinner"
I will gladly comply.
It's not like I don't need 2 irons and ironing boards.
You can hardly accomplish all your ironing needs with just one!
Figures, since the pals I know going just don't understand.

Nuka: i preformed and saw choir concerts
Dee Kae: .....
Nuka: which i genuenly enjoyed
Dee Kae: Those
Dee Kae: are
Dee Kae: no
Dee Kae: those are not things
Nuka: also i saw a accapella group
Nuka: no they are
Dee Kae: you could consider to be concerts.
Nuka: they are concerts
Nuka: just not the kind of concerts you are talking about
Dee Kae: those are far far too white to be enjoyed as such
Nuka: see? you're just full of shit then
Dee Kae: blargh, just your typical WOOH ITS A BAND EVERYONE CHEERS AND DANCES that whole thing
Nuka: brother, choir music has more soul than any damn thing the protomen could ever produce
Also, are the concerts being held in Benoroya also? I guess they probably are. That seems like that could be lame since it's all seated in there. I mean, it's not an opera, it's a rock concert, you know?
What I'm trying to say is, I'm not making any promises, but the Thursday night Pre-Pax show could potentially more fun than the actual Pax concerts. I can't verify that beforehand, so everyone should just go to both, just in case.

You are still full of shit. A choir concert isn't any less of a concert than some rock fest or what's going on at PAX.

I have had way more fun at the pre-pax show than I have had at any of the pax concerts

it's no less of a performance, but it's completely different, and I would actually posit that any choir mostly populated by white people, has a sufficiently low amount of "soul." Also, any rock group worth their salt is going to pour their blood sweat and tears out on any stage they play on, which is more than I could say for most members of any sort of classical ensemble. This isn't true in all situations, but there's just a million times more energy at a rock show. If you try to debate this, it will just make it clear that you've never been to a good show.

I was in choir in high school for 3 years and a lot of the songs I ended up singing were religious/gospel music.
No one was shoving religion down my face, there's just little to pick from. Either it's some 16th century love song or it's "I wanna go to heaven when I die, to see ole' Jordan roll. Oh sisters! Roll Jordan Roll!" God forbid you're stuck with some shitty group and you end up singing Enya or Sting songs set to choral groups. Oh and I live in western Washington, and I can only recall like maybe 4 black people out of 60 that were in my class. :P
Of course there's a lot more energy at a rock concert, they have fireworks for fuck sakes. However a lot of the songs you learn to sing in a choral group are really fucking hard. In high school we had a couple of months to go over them but if you were in a professional choir, you usually only have a few weeks. (At least that's what the director/teacher told us) There's also a lot of energy that gets put into the higher skill level songs. Like holding a note for a solid 45 seconds, without wavering, singing loudly and with a lot of energy and on pitches you may not be comfortable with. Also we do sweat on stage, it's just hard to tell with those robes. It's always hot up there with all those lights on you!
I do agree with you, I think DK's just being a loon in saying "Choir concerts aren't real concerts pffft" because I didn't jump up and down about the Protomen concert. I didn't mean for it to get serious enough for a discussion. I just don't know what I'm doing that day!

This is pretty insulting to anyone who has even been in an orchestra. While no one is arguing that a traditional rock concert creates more of a direct feedback with it's crowd encouraging them to dance and cheer midsong that isn't the only indicator. I mean your argument is because it's full of white people it lacks soul? Really? Did you measure that by grabbing all the white people's skulls and measuring them?

uh, blake, cap was in the marine corps band for like two years. I seriously doubt he is trying to insult anybody who has been in an orchestra.

Actually being on stage and preforming in one.
EDIT: That smiley makes what I said in that quote look so terrible, god it's no better than that
If you do not enjoy yourself and think it was dumb and wish a refund, you will receive a kiss from my butt for not knowing how to have a good time.
well if I'm up there let's just say it's definitely more fun for me than the audience
Fact: Being up on stage while drunk is way more fun than otherwise. Fuck stage fright.

your singer's accent is confusing and delightful
Hey nuka!
Why so mad? Choir concerts are something in their own right, they just aren't like a rock concert. Which you should go see, like now.

or just don't be afraid of being on stage
I went to a school to learn how to do this.
Tell me about it!
