One would hope not. Really, it seems like it's going to be in the same vein as The Web, with franchised superheroics. Which was itself a lot like an old Chuck Dixon pitch for a Blue Beetle relaunch.
which was kind of a hysterical title, I suppose, if you think about it...
GM: It's a greattitle. "Batman Family" -- you just want to see him sitting there in a his Bat-slippers while Batgirl gets him his dinner. [laughter]
GB: It all made sense to me as a kid. Here's the ultimate orphan and now he's created this strange family and there's even room for Man-Bat, who sort of the ugly cousin. Did you enjoy that book? I only bring it up because it presented a sort of confederacy led by Batman.
GM: I did love that book at the time. What we're doing is somewhat in the tradition of that. Nothing I've done with Batman is so shockingthat it hasn't been seen before. I've tried to tell fans: 'Don't worry about time travel, he's done it before, we're just going to see it in more conventional, more down-to-earth way." Don't worry about the aspects of this stuff, we're re-drawing aspects of Batman's history all the time. He had team-ups before and, as you say, had "Batman Family." This is a lot like "Batman Family," I suppose, except the family is very extended in this case and it's global. I tell people not to worry. Batman can take it. He'd done it before.
That sounds amazing. I've been day-dreaming this for a while now.
I'm not terribly familar with the current state of things, but I would love for Batman to make a Bat-army, of sorts. Something to rival the League of Assassins and all of Luthor's stuff. Batman and his family and their army vs Ra's and his League and Luthor and oh man it would be great.
I have no idea how it would work in the shared universe, because you would always be wondering why one of the Flashs didn't take a minute of his day and build a jail and put the entire League of Assassins in it, or why a Green Lantern didn't just put Ra's and Luthor in a forcefield, or why Superman didn't... etc
I need to start getting the trades of Morrison's Batman stuff asap.

I like the idea. I just hope it's not "Batman X" "Batman Y" like The Web and more like different people trained by and associated with Batman

Yes, I know what perspective is and I'm saying he messed it up.
I'd disagree. It looks like simple forced perspective to me.
For example:
If he screwed anything up, I'd say it was putting Tim's right shoulder up too high and far back, which makes the top portion of his arm look really short. Though really, people can contort their bodies in weirder ways than you'd expect. Artist Alan Tew has a really neat video on his blog where he kind of gets into the weird contortions the human figure can pull off.

Looks like Bruce goes back to the yellow symbol design. If Dick still gets to be Batman he keeps the black on grey outfit?

And that second cover looks pretty beat up for what I'm assuming would be a brand new suit.
She knows the is at least mostly right, and just needs proof.

Also, here's a brief interview with Morrison, where he discusses Batman as a character, as well as Batman Inc.

guess he didn't get the memo on Red Robin's costume changes
Is Didio still making fun of that scans daily person or whatever?
The only SD poster who would deserve that would be Box_in_a_Box, and he rarely posts there anymore anyway.
Possibly because some of them are more or less just that month's issue (Red Robin, Batgirl).
It seems like half of these are nearly guaranteed hits, and then one or two more may be pleasant surprised.
It's certainly not Battle for the Cowl all over again.
At the very least over Outsiders, but that's Didio's book so it can tie into any event (like War of the Superman).
Well, Outsiders is still considered part of the Bat-Family I suppose.
And Mike Barr is writing it, not Didio.
also Batgirl is awesome people should read it
Wow, Tim looks fucking terrible there. What's with his midget right arm and enormous left arm?
Otherwise, I think it looks pretty good.
Yes, I know what perspective is and I'm saying he messed it up. It reminds me of this Batman cover from Andy Kubert:
I actually didn't mind those covers until you made me go back and find this.
Now I do not like them anymore.
Apparently the Batgirl design has had that strap for awhile!
In the clear!
