But I mean there's only so many shows who's fan can claim executive meddling before you just have to say 'this did not appeal to a large number of viewers'.
Which isn't a condemnation of that show, because there are some horrible shows on the air that people DO watch.
But let's face it, there's gonna be a lot of people who don't like Arrested Development because it just wasn't their thing.

I don't just think of it as a 'hip genius show that got canceled'. I truly believe, and this shouldn't be weird to hear from me, it's one of if not the greatest show of its type. like, if someone said 'I will forgive Coppola anything because he made The Godfather' and quid said 'I hate him because of the Godfather' he would have gotten the same reaction from me.
also, the show did bad for a variety of reasons, from lack of good advertising to not being your standard serialized sitcom.
edit - also in case it's not obvious, I don't actually have a problem with a person not liking it. however, when someone drops that opinion I will say 'what' or something like it. I want to understand because I feel so the opposite about it.
