Finding people to play tennis with

I'm in a little conundrum. I want to play tennis with someone here in Edmonton, but I know of no one else that wants to. How do I find people that play this game regularly that just want to play for fun?

    you could join a tennis club - they sometimes set up tournaments/games etc.

    I'm totally serious. I'm alright and love to play, but the only people I really have to play are my fiance and some family members, all of which are very new to it. It's fun trying to teach them, but when that's all you play against it's never really challenging.

    I would love to join a casual club or something, but don't really have the moneys.

    Try meetup.com. I'm in Dallas and there's a couple of pretty active meetup clubs devoted to Tennis. Your luck may vary though.

    I found lots of surfing and rockclimbing buddies through craigslist. Basically just make a post that says "looking for people to play tennis with" and assuming you don't live in the middle of nowhere you should get some replies. Do this two times a week for two-three weeks and you should have a sizeable group.

    Find a tennis court. Walk around it there will be a club for it. Join it.

    Also play tennis with that guy.
