Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

You don't need a hugely powerful motor in your mixer, James. A less powerful mixer would be just fine.

Also, curses to my friend who got me reading the Dominic Deegan comic. It's strangely appealing to me, and I can't figure out why, exactly.

But probably the large amount of terrible puns is part of it. And the alliteration loving, talking cat.

I'm wondering because the more powerful one is actually cheaper if I buy it at Costco than the 350W one from Sears.

    Oh man.

Now commence going psychotic about my upcoming date.

I'm not sure if it hurts or helps that her away message right now is "Should I bolt every time I get that feeling in my gut when I meet someone new? Well I've been listening to my gut since I was 14-years-old, and frankly speaking, I've come to the conclusion that my gut has shit for brains."

Just got back from hanging out with this girl I know that I haven't seen in a while. She hugged longer and tighter than we ever had before, but over the course of conversation this guy that she is quasi-dating came up, but things sounded... tenuous. Why can these things never be straightforward affairs?

In related news, I saw The Social Network with her, and it was pretty dang good.

I'd say that this is a positive thing. She's acknowledging publicly that she has an emotional investment in her date with you, and further demonstrating that she finds you interesting enough to summon the courage to overcome her fear.

every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.
the "no true scotch, man" fallacy.

Then you blow it and you move on. Not every first date leads to an awesome relationship. Some just lead to "WTF was I thinking?".
