Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
So it's thanksgiving in Canada town this weekend.
Which means that I am horribly horribly depressed
I have never missed one of my grandmother's thanksgiving dinners
and seeing as how she is old, there probably won't be a whole heck of a lot left of them to have
So I'm sitting in sunny LA, bawling like a baby because I miss Canada
and I got to thinking, i can just celebrate thanksgiving on the forums because what else do i have to lose at this point?
Tell me what you're thankful for, SE...or just post stuff about Canada because it's the best.
we have both, turkey AND ham
so... take that!

bogey has complained that since i arrived down here, his life has become too canadian.
it is driving him crazy
he keeps seeing canadian things everywhere, and i made it rain in LA for like 2 days straight
so, this could alternatively be called... make bogey go insane....thread.
i remember one christmas we had lobster
which is pretty nova scotian of us, but still, it made me sad because I am overly sentimental, especially about the types of food i eat on holidays and where i am eating said foods.

Two of my best friends got married and moved to San Francisco. I've done Thanksgiving with them and their families every year for the past 4-5 years but now they're gone.
SH, you can go to my nanny's and have thanksgiving with my family
they're a cool bunch
my uncle will probably tell you about all the times aliens have tried to abduct him
and my mom will bring up sex or sex organs at least 10 times.

Yeah I won't be doing the Thanksgiving dinner thing with the family this year. Moved away from San francisco, gonna miss my uncles ridiculously good lobster.

Beavotron I can't express how often I miss the Canadian east coast, which apparently is the lame part of Canada.
I'll mention I'm from Canada to some people at college and they'll immediately ask if I'm from Toronto or Vancouver. I'll respond that I grew up in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, and than they'll just look at me with disinterest...
Dammit, if anything it is the bad-ass part of Canada (except you know, the Yukon...)!

john: i came down here cause it's where the entirety of my industry resides, so i came to network and now it's becoming increasingly likely that i could be offered a job during this big conference thing, so i'm terrified/excited/scared/happy/roller coaster.
