I was listening to the latest nerdist podcast and I came across this fine collage on the website.

If you are a child of the 80's or a child of the 90's who watched tons of Nickolodean and early Cartoon Network this should be cool.

They're on Disney's official channel. Why would they even be taken down in the first place?

Panty and Stocking is pretty excellent. Mindblowing animation and style aside, it's not trying to be some masterfully crafted tale of malice and revenge. It's fast-paced explosions and cars and colors and strippers and awesome. Besides, it's only the first episode. It's kinda the episode where they have to introduce everyone and be all "this chaacter's like this, while this character's like this!"

Just saw it. Worth watching just for the excellent art direction. Western cartoons have compensated for their modest budgets with interesting art direction, and being that a lot of anime has a very similar look, I'm sure Gainax had fun doing something different.

And I just caught up on Regular Show! It is pretty good; the direction they are taking with the VA's is interesting.

Why did they give the little blind girl such a bad seeing eye dog?

It totally ran off leaving a blind girl by her self.

    So, likely an odd question.

I watched Batman: The Animated Series as a kid. Own all the box sets, etc.

I never got into Justice League/JLU, but I've got them in my netflix queue. Problem is that there's a ton of them, particularly when you include movies, etc.

Anyway - what's the appropriate order? I know that the Superman series came out before them - watch those first too? What about the other oddly-stylized Batman which was paired with the Superman series? Any other ones I might have missed which were on WB back on the day or something?

Actually, now that I look more closely, it's just one - Justice League: Starcrossed the Movie

The others are special-release 'collections' of episodes.

Don't worry about any of the movies, they all came after JL/JLU ended.

For continuity's sake you'll want to watch the Superman series if you can manage it. The final season of B:TAS (the "oddly styled" one you mentioned) doesn't really factor in, but most of the episodes are pretty damn good.

And then there's Batman Beyond, though that'll only clue you in to some references made in two episodes I believe. It's not as good as B:TAS but it's at least on par with Superman and is a damn fine series.

Batman: TAS, the Superman cartoon that aired at the same time, Batman Beyond, Justice League, JLU, and Static Shock all take place in the same continuity I believe.

I liked Batman Beyond better than TAS. Largely because Bruce as an old man was the best character in existence.

And Return of the Joker was Fantastic.

Watch the first couple sets of Superman, then the last Batman one(the different style one) before watching the third Superman one. Then Batman Beyond, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker(MUST SEE), Justice League(two seasons), finishing off with JLU. Don't worry about Starcrossed, it's just the last three episodes of Justice League season 2 cut together in movie form.

Yeah, it was good. Though, like Starcrossed, it's not really a movie, just a 3-part episode of the show.
