It's all about timing with him. Sometimes it's spot on and great. Other times it's forced and unnatural. I feel that they made his character into this gigantic asshole early on and they couldn't ever work around it, so they always had to have him doing something outlandish.
One thing about him that I did like was how he was always the doctor that strives for perfection.

They are not actually touch screens but rather use an array of IR cameras so you can have multiple users all using it at once (it can tell which finger is attached to which hand which is attached to an arm coming from direction X etc....), you can integrate physical objects (eg: minitures or game pieces) into the simulation and do all kinds of neat stuff mixing "real" with "simulated".
