Companion Question,
I have Boone and EDI-whatever, where do they go when I want to get Arcade and Rex. And do I need to have them all in my party for a while for the second companion achievement?

I am so going to eat whoever this asshole is for making me wait this long for him.
I have noticed that all-capslock posts are never funny, in any context, nor even do I consider them respectable as a joke. Seriously, if you're pissed, just curse like all normal net denizens do.
How hard are weapon repair kits to come by without that code? Because I don't seem to have it, and the only ones I've seen came as quest rewards (I've got two at the moment). My primary weapon right now is a unique, so I'm relying on kits to repair it until jury rig hits.
I am 14 hours in and I think I have seen them sold once or twice Maybe the shopkeeper at crimson caravans? or the two brothers in freeside?
You can make them with 50 repair.
Takes Scrap Metal, Scrap Electronics, Wrenches and Wonderglue.

I'm not sure how Karma is working in this one. I pretty much steal everything I come across and I always always choose the how much are you going to pay me option when taking quests. I'm trying to play a solid neutral character but currently I am saint of the wasteland or some nonsense.

Can't you create them at a work bench?
And fuck me, I've gotten to Novac without seeing a single weapon mod I can use. I want to make my laser pistol all shiny.
So Victor just showed up on my team out of the blue? When did that happen?
This can be a very good thing.
I came across an adult Cazedore at level 3. All I remember is taking my first shot, then it becomes a blur. All I hear is oh god oh god oh god. Then, a terrible bang, followed by a calm, almost friendly, mechanical voice telling me I should be more careful.

Reposting since it got left at the bottom of the page. 50 repair, Scrap Metal, Scrap Electronics, Wrenches and Wonderglue.
Maybe Duct Tape. I'm not sure, but I would not question it.
Whoop, didn't see that. :P My bad!
So New Vegas is way more stable than Fallout 3 was for me.
I've had one crash, and it wasn't random at all. I killed an enemy that was not moving and was immune to bullets. Since then, nothing. Which is all kinds of weird, since I couldn't go 20 minutes without Fallout 3 crashing for no reason at all.

As for 360, there's very few problems I've come across. Loading can take far longer than it should, but this is eliminated by installing to the hard drive.
Which then creates it own problem of slowly grinding to a halt the longer you play. After a few hours I'd find I was hitting major spikes where the game was trying to hang itself as a few agonizing frames ticked by. Then a few more. Then a few more. Thirty or so seconds later it got done throwing up on itself and I could continue.
Also, and I haven't tested this since I installed to see if it is fixed, but don't have the guide button up while it is loading! I had gotten used to the loads taking awhile so I was perusing some cheevos. I saw that it was done, brought the guide down and promptly froze.
Absolutely loving it so far..I've finished up in Goodsprings, apparently they all love me there since I got rid of the powder gangers. There better be a goddamn statue of me next time I get there.
Also, VATS accuracy is terrible, I can't hit anything from a nice distance. Guess it's back to shooting things from the hip.
In other news, dynamite kills things. And I got a lot of them sticks.

Where are you?
Just took care of some Powder Gang dudes over near Vonnie and Vance's. Rescued the Deputy, then wandered off Southeast. Was just killing bloatflys and bark scorpions when he rolls up and takes them out. When I went to speak with him, he was just my companion all of a sudden. Glitch?
I thought that NV was a Games for Windows Live game and was expecting the terrible interface that comes with it. But it's not! Which is good, because fuck that thing in the ear.

Got a couple of hours into New Vegas, feels good to back in the Fallout 'verse.
One question though, is there someone in the first town who does weapon repairs?
Redeem the code on the insert that came with the game. It gives you four weapon repair kits along with the other goodies. To answer your question, nobody comes to mind.
Since posting that I'm all good, I have a high repair skill and it didn't take long for people to generously donate their pistols to me (there may have been bullets involved).

Nope, that is meant to happen.
Oh, good. I was worried for a minute.

Hah. I love No-Bark. He has some hilarious dialogue.
Yeah, he actually gets across information too.
So offering to fix up a robodog has meant boone got kicked from my party, that's kind of annoying. Especially since the two categories of companions are 'humans' and 'robots', and the dog definitely isn't in category one.

Also, the Steam Cloud fixes should be too.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Oh well.
But I have DR2, Halo Reach and a whole bunch of portfolio work to do.
I just seem to be hopping from new release to new release and going "fffffffffff I really want this game"
I wish I was ludicrously wealthy in both money and free time.

Where did you find this? New Vegas Nexus is giving me nothing.

Alright, fine. I'll buy this tonight. Jesus.

Could someone do me a huge favour and give me a quick little list of decent mods that you think are either required or totally useful and worth using?
:?
I wish I was kidding.
I know it's early and these are the ones that are most prominent right now.
But aren't there the usual quick-released ones like better UI and stuff?

Actually later on tin cans can be quite useful.

Oh hey a ghoul..oh its dead
Oh hey a legionaire.. oh its dead
Oh fuck a Radscorpion!..phew its dead.
mother fucker's saved me on some serious ammo
Nope, that is meant to happen.
That was bugging me as well. Killing them is okay, but taking their stuff is a no-no? They ARE criminals, you know..
Also, the game is running very smoothly so far..no crashes, no bugs, no framerate drops, nothing.
Then again I ate all of them.
Edit: Except one. I left him alive. But he had to watch.

I'll remember to redeem the code later, though.
Oh, good. I was worried for a minute.
Scrap for a quest which you need a fuckload of. Noting that there is a *lot* of stuff you can use for that.
