    Companion Question,
    I have Boone and EDI-whatever, where do they go when I want to get Arcade and Rex. And do I need to have them all in my party for a while for the second companion achievement?

    The fix for mouse smoothing on PC should probably go in the OP.

    open up FalloutPrefs.ini and search for controls at the end of the controls section, add the lines:

    fForegroundMouseBase=0
    fForegroundMouseMult=0

    Also, the Steam Cloud fixes should be too.

    I want this game really badly.

    But I have DR2, Halo Reach and a whole bunch of portfolio work to do.

    I just seem to be hopping from new release to new release and going "fffffffffff I really want this game"

    This can be a very good thing.

    I came across an adult Cazedore at level 3. All I remember is taking my first shot, then it becomes a blur. All I hear is oh god oh god oh god. Then, a terrible bang, followed by a calm, almost friendly, mechanical voice telling me I should be more careful.

    Whoop, didn't see that. :P My bad!
    So New Vegas is way more stable than Fallout 3 was for me.
    I've had one crash, and it wasn't random at all. I killed an enemy that was not moving and was immune to bullets. Since then, nothing. Which is all kinds of weird, since I couldn't go 20 minutes without Fallout 3 crashing for no reason at all.

    As for 360, there's very few problems I've come across. Loading can take far longer than it should, but this is eliminated by installing to the hard drive.
    Which then creates it own problem of slowly grinding to a halt the longer you play. After a few hours I'd find I was hitting major spikes where the game was trying to hang itself as a few agonizing frames ticked by. Then a few more. Then a few more. Thirty or so seconds later it got done throwing up on itself and I could continue.

    Also, and I haven't tested this since I installed to see if it is fixed, but don't have the guide button up while it is loading! I had gotten used to the loads taking awhile so I was perusing some cheevos. I saw that it was done, brought the guide down and promptly froze.

    Alright, just got the game, about 2 hours in.

    Absolutely loving it so far..I've finished up in Goodsprings, apparently they all love me there since I got rid of the powder gangers. There better be a goddamn statue of me next time I get there.
    Also, VATS accuracy is terrible, I can't hit anything from a nice distance. Guess it's back to shooting things from the hip.

    In other news, dynamite kills things. And I got a lot of them sticks.

    Got a couple of hours into New Vegas, feels good to back in the Fallout 'verse.

    One question though, is there someone in the first town who does weapon repairs?

    Redeem the code on the insert that came with the game. It gives you four weapon repair kits along with the other goodies. To answer your question, nobody comes to mind.

    Since posting that I'm all good, I have a high repair skill and it didn't take long for people to generously donate their pistols to me (there may have been bullets involved).

    I'll remember to redeem the code later, though.

    So offering to fix up a robodog has meant boone got kicked from my party, that's kind of annoying. Especially since the two categories of companions are 'humans' and 'robots', and the dog definitely isn't in category one.
