    Also the Legion just refuse to be angry with me, no matter how many people I shoot in the face. I mean those in the immediate vicinity will attack me, but if they dont see me acting violent, they're totally cool with it.

    I love this game, but it just makes me crave for a new engine or a massive overhaul. Because I love Bethesda's aim, I like what its trying to do, its far more ambitious than most games, but Vegas really highlights how far its missing the mark, which is just due to the engine really.

    I like the style of the engine, how everyone is under the same 'rules', everything is lootable, movable, attackable, that kind of thing, I absolutely love that, but its something that presents its own problems and I think they can only fix it with a new or heavily modified engine.

    Man, is it just my imagination, or is it way harder to win at the Ultra Luxe?

    I mean I only have 6 LK, but I didn't have too much trouble getting banned from Gammorah or the Tops.

    Ultra Luxe is killing me though.

    Didn't someone say they couldn't find Boone after they let him go or he disappeared? Cause I just found him hanging out in the Crimson Caravan Main Office after I let him go in Jacobstown.

    It was me. I decided to just run with Veronica and Cass, and I'll probably drop Cass at Novac eventually. Apparently starting the end game sequence reunites you with you followers if they disappeared on you at some point.

    EDIT: I think I still remember Civilization note for note.

    You know, playin' all these games that're so close to the southern border, I kinda' wonder what the Mexicans are all up to. Considering that America was such a high-priority target and number one on everybody's shitlist at the time the bombs fell, I can't imagine that Mexico suffered any/many direct strikes, so the infrastructure is probably fairly intact if worn as fuck. Maybe one of the DLCs will take us to Texas and the Reconquista?

    He's got a house a ways to the east, about four blocks or so on the map. Some days he just loafs around on his ass, but if you pop in there he'll make a beeline for the stand lickity-split.

    Yeah, New Vegas itself is kind of a dissapointment, but it'll see lots of improvements in upcoming months and years via mods on the PC version. It'll take a long time, but there will probably eventually be a mod that makes the strip one area without barriers, along with adding more people. It'll take a hell of a PC to run, but it'll happen.

    And Draper, I dont have PC capable of running this, so im just banking on the next overhaul to the engine being substantial enough to make the next Bethesda game the one that fulfills the promise that all of their games since Morrowind have showed in terms of freedom and immersion.

    I really don't think the ability to loot everything is worth the terrible animations and overall clunkiness of the game. Not to mention how awkward real time combat always is. There definitely needs to be some kind of engine overhaul or new engine alltogether, because the potential atmosphere of future Fallout games will suffer big time if the need to loot shit constantly keeps bogging it down. Maybe they need to take a page from Mass Effect 2 or RDR or something.

    Don't get me wrong, I love it, but if the loot system is the reason the engine has to be like it is then maybe a re-prioritization is in order.

    I don't know if this question was answered, but someone asked if companions require ammo for weapons given to them. The answer is a yes. I gave Boone a minigun and 5mm bullets to carry, because he's my pack mule, and he ended up switching to it and blowing through all its ammo.

    I've had a companion just run off toward the horizon, away from me. If you enter a new cell or fast travel, they should be right by your side again. As long as they don't die (which only happens if you're playing hardcore mode), then they shouldn't be permanently gone.

    I think their working on their original series The Elder Scrolls. Perhaps better or new engine to be looked for there.

    Heh, I just thought of a retarded idea for them to hire Bioware for Fallout: Spin off. But in the style their doing, not Bioware's ME style.

    I want to do a melee oriented run, but having to slog through gunfire at the pathetic jog-walk my character does to get to my enemies is painful. I'm gonna hold off until a FO3 style Sprinting mod comes out.

    I went up to the ranger station near Cottonwood and was most disappointed that they weren't at all acknowledging my nuclear based slaughtering of the guys there. Was sadface :(

    Edit: He also has a dog tag quest, unfortunately I got it only after exterminating everything in town and now I cannot do it anymore. Sadface :(

    It sounds like you did what I did. :P

    I basically just charged in there with Boone, no quest or anything, and slaughtered those sons'a'bitches.

    Also, running with both Boone and Veronica is just insanity. It does feel a bit like cheating, but I don't want to run around until Boone's quest activates and then switch over to Veronica and wait for her quest to activate when I could just run with them both and get those quests sooner.
