    Supposedly you can make it run better if you run it windowed at 800x600, then maximise the window. It'll up the resolution properly, but leave the reflections and shadows at the windowed quality, making the game a lot more playable.

    The atmosphere is so good sometimes though, especially at night, when you can't see and there are enemies everywhere, and the lightning kicks up. It's really quite earie.

    As atmospheric as the game is, the gameplay didn't really pop for me.

    There's more than a grain of wisdom in that observation.

    Just don't be ear-responsible in harvesting the ones inside anomalies.

    I just wish they hadn't cropped some of the game's content.

    An actual Steam question: Is there any way to stop my Steam client from automatically updating? Sometimes I'm using the internet in places where the owners are real sticklers about download rates, and I'd rather avoid pissing them off.

    Offline mode is your only option.

    Offline mode is fairly hit or miss for some people, though.
