There is nothing that can stop them from going 16-0 and winning the Super Bowl as the home team for the first time. Nothing at all.

If by "in place" you mean "nowhere even remotely in place," then yes, yes they are "in place."

    Hardly.

There are pieces in the bowl. Some are up on the rim. A few are on the tile floor around the base, but just close enough to get the edges of that little toilet rug wet.

FOOTBALL: Halfway through the season means the season is over, AWARDS TIME!

    Your 2010 NFL MVP is...

    Philip Rivers
    philiprivers.jpg

King Laserface is on pace to best Dan Marino's record passing season, and he's single handedly reviving any shot the Chargers might have left in them this year.

Your 2010 Defensive Player of the Year is...

    Clay Matthews

    claymatthewstrentedward.jpg

Clay started out of the gate strong with 6 sacks in 2 games, and he's recorded 11 over 8 games total to lead the league (missed 1 game with an injury) and has a chance to break the single season mark held by Michael Strahan.

Your 2010 Comeback Player of the Year is...

    Osi Umenyiora

    mattmooreosiumenyiora20.jpg

Michael Vick will probably get this award because of the media attention surrounding him, but Osi I feel is more deserving. He went from being benched at the end of last season and a symbol of what was wrong with the Giants as their defense collapsed along with the team to leading the NFL with 7 forced fumbles and also racking up 8 sacks on the way there.

Your 2010 Coach of the Year is...

    Todd Haley

    toddhaleygreenbaypacker.jpg

Haley has already rebounded from last year's 4-12 effort with a 5-3, first place team this year. They might not be the prettiest of the bunch, but the Chiefs get it done on defense and on special teams. He has some competition from Raheem Morris and possibly Steve Spagnuolo if the Rams can hang on to the West, but being alone on top of the division right now gets him the nod from me.

Your 2010 Goat of the Year is...

    Wade Phillips

    phillips.jpg

That the above was the first result in a GIS for "Wade Phillips 2010" is really all you need to know about how his year went. Under his watch the Cowboys went 1-7, good enough for their worst start in over 20 years. And now, he is the ex-head coach. He can go back to working on Bum's farm until next year when some team will be dumb enough to open a door for him. He's been so bad, he overshadowed an even worse coach up north.

    IMG_2906.jpg

As an aside, the last time the Cowboys were this bad was the season of the infamous Herschel Walker trade. It was also the first season Jerry Jones owned the Cowboys.

Anyway, so there you have it. Goodbye, 2010 season, we hardly knew ye, and hello lockout!

    [SASS]SHOCKING[/SASS]

I know. According to Adam, unless Sterger brought some hard evidence, there's not enough to implicate Brett.

Also, as Chris McKendry was reading the story she reported that Sterger's camp was "waiting for contact from Favre or his representatives about the possibility for a financial settlement" and when that did not come, then they went to the NFL.

I don't think that helps their case, even though if Favre had gone through with such a settlement it might have looked fishy.
