Just do what I did. Have friends that breed their dog. Then have one of the puppies be a runt that can't nurse and has to be bottle fed, and help out bottle feeding. Then be unable to say no when they ask you to have him

I had to put down my cat a week ago, who was older than my little sister by two years.

He was so out of it he didn't even know we were there trying to comfort him, just non-stop freaking out trying to get up and run away, but he kept going in circles and running into walls.
