I've just read the entire article on Hardtacks and now I'm reading about stornoway

    I'm bored

Have you learned anything exciting about Stornaway? I think some of great grandparents were born there and I plan to visit next year

Christian observance of the sabbath is a big thing.

That makes sense, small, isolated communities often hold onto stricter religious practice. Although luckily that was not the case where I grew up

fun fact: Google maps has better names for the islands in Ryfylke than the official sea maps we've got have

because they don't insist on using the "the" form (Rennesøya instead of Rennesøy)

i was moving anyway but a petition for eviction was left on my door this part thursday. it has to make its way through the system to get to the eviction level hearing, which occurs a week after official eviction papers are put on my door. the constables and JPs think that might not even happen until early january...and i'll be moved out by then anyway. i'd still respond to the notice because i don't want to be turned over to collections for a bullshit reason.

If it makes it to a court it should be a relatively simple matter to show what's up and why i've withheld payment. also, the next hearing or whatever to determine the ownership of the property is on january 10th. so like, if it's determined that the original owner still owns the place then the eviction stuff would be nullified i imagine. don't think you can evict someone from a place you don't own.

It tends not to be in remote areas, because the really high-res stuff is from aerial, rather than satellit photography.

Nah I mean overall, mostly because there's higher-quality air photography of all of norway availible

also it avoids that checkered look google has

We got legally hitched in NYC a couple of months ago, but had a family and friends gathering yesterday in which we exchanged non-legally binding vows and then threw a big dinner + party + piss-up.

Hakkes, I warned you about that caffine. I warned you.

Also redid my intro for this grad entrance essay but it put me too many words over. Ugh have to clean. I might eliminate most of the second paragraph and move it into the first paragraph since the background seems similar.

I've never done SS here (on any subforum of PA), despite being a forumer for seven years. All I can say is, I'm very glad I joined this year. Everything you sent me was awesome. :)

I feel bad that my own SS gift hasn't left yet, but the things I ordered have been sent to me very lazily it seems. I know I'll get everything to my santee before Christmas but I wish this one guy would ship my purchase already, so I can get it and send it out.

I am super pissed. I just killed my mouse. I forgot to ground myself after taking off my coat, and as soon as I touched it got zapped, the light turned off, and my PC popped up an error message saying it couldn't recognize it.

That mouse had worked perfectly for 9 and half years. :(

also, wtf, when trying to see if people still sold that same model.
