or it proceeds along a higher wisdom or morality that isn't necessarily intuitive or even comprehensible by human brains and it is our lot to follow the will of our creator and master etc
How is that different from saying that God commands it because it is good?

If someone threatens it, I'd cut them off. Like elves who clean and do all your housework for a mere bowl of milk every day and will stay unless you ever thank them.
Make it a yearly tradition "one week of Daxon inviting you somewhere awesome" and it'd occur at the same time every year. Assuming mind control I am pretty sure I'd be safe no matter what - can also work on developing a spidey sense to see if anyone in range of me has hostile intentions, then just mind control them into going and getting a coffee and forgetting I ever existed.
I guess that's what I'm saying... eventually you'd need to extend that manipulation again. Of course this is wildly hypothetical and thinking about it's also painfully "slippery slope."
I can't say exercising my power to make someone forget I ever existed is evil or anything even possibly malignant.
It's exercising absolute privacy: being so private you can select who is allowed to know you are an existing person.
Instead of normal cake, impress your friends with enormous tiered slabs of cheese at your wedding, like us.
Dammit, Will, I was just about to go to bed and I couldn't think of anything else.
Hmm, I might actually have to try that. My fiancee and I had already decided against cake, but haven't figured out what (if anything) we're going to have in its place. :^:
The punishment for not drinking all the booze is that all the booze gets poured into a giant drum, mixed about, then the happy couple must drink the delicious residual mess
what about people who hold that morality proceeds from god's will? this is a common belief in lay christianity.
that is to say that rape is immoral because it is contrary to god's will
Then god's will is arbitrary etc etc
or it proceeds along a higher wisdom or morality that isn't necessarily intuitive or even comprehensible by human brains and it is our lot to follow the will of our creator and master etc
why does it matter if god's will is arbitrary or not? Serious question.
I mean it's god what're you gonna do, politely disagree?

They rotate the hosts night by night. Monday is not Paxman, it is a female lady reporter

No, the problem is deeper than God being mysterious.
The problem is "if rape is bad because god tells us not to rape each other, then it can't also be the case that god tells us not to rape each other because rape is bad... so why is he telling us that then? The only other option is that it's arbitrary what god commands (and this is unsatisfying except for really hardcore theists)."

Huh, for once I think I may have to watch Newsnight. I like the show host guy, I have seen youtube clips of him making humourous comments.

Need to be more specific. Flying Brick is a common power set.
It could easily be both.
