If you've played Scribblenauts, Super Scribblenauts is much much much better.

If you've never played Scribblenauts... you're going to be amazed!
When I created a violent campfire and it started bouncing around and chased down Max... I was ecstatic about the further possibilities. There's a thread for it, at least, I think there is... if there isn't, there should be! Wonderful game.

Being catless, I figure that Summertime Fun Cthulhu can take the honors as serving to protect my address from ne'er-do-wells. Ry'leh's in the southern hemisphere, right? It's summer there.
    CIMG0393.jpg

Hmm... There seems to be an aura of forboding, of death, of forlorn wishes... Or maybe it's just me. Cthulhu! Investigate!
    CIMG0394.jpg

Now some of you might be gleefully tearing apart your Amazon gift wrap, but let me tell you that this gift came in a giant crushed velvet bag with a ribbon drawstring. I don't want to be a kid who spends more time playing with a box than the thing it came in, but seriously. This is classy as hell. Lando Calrissian would put his 5-gallon jug of Crown Royal in this thing, that's how classy it is.
    CIMG0395.jpg

The envelope says to open the bag before reading it, so I peer at the tag:
    CIMG0396.jpg
    Hello again Brusar (?)
    A haiku for you

    Enjoy the fun toys
Bring out the child from within
    Pretend they are real.

What is it what is it!?
My eldritch minion does his best Kilroy impression. Fitting, as my present is only the finest war machine known to mankind!
    CIMG0398.jpg
Some kind of chupathingy, I reckon.

This leaves me with two mysteries!
    1) The envelope says "The other portion of your gift is shipping separately," meaning that there's even more to come!
    2) The letter leaves no indication who it's from, but the "Hello again" leaves me wondering! Who could it be? Do I know them? Have we played Halo together?

In any case, thank you, anonymous Santa! I can't wait to begin annoying the girlfriend by leaving it conspicuously on the bookshelf, staffed by Stikfas and Spartans.

    Oh man oh man.

I'm so excited that I'm just going to put my large glass of water and plate full of food down and out of sight. Nothing bad can happen, it's X-Mas!

PACKING PEANUTS AND PAPER!!!!!! Wait, what, there's more underneath!

    xmas073.jpg
Oh man, I can't wait to play with her. Wait, did that sound creepy?

    xmas075.jpg
Oh, you can bet that I'll be popping the bubbles in a bit.

    xmas076.jpg
The Merc with the mouth, so cool! As much as I like Deadpool, I actually don't have any action figures of him, so that's great stalking!

Oooh. Nothing impresses the lady like a big thick book am rite? But seriously, reading some Dostoyevsky is something I have always been meaning to do, thanks!

    xmas080.jpg
Will this get me to drink something other than Shiner Bock? Probably not, but now I'll be able to say that I made the best decision possible.

    xmas081.jpg
Ohmygodohmygod. I have not read this book in years I think I somewhat remember the Horroland one.

    xmas082.jpg
I have never played any Fallout. I aim to rectify this immediately.

    xmas083.jpg
I can't wait to play with her. Play with her silently.

Can a mercenary with a motormouth and a Librarian with a gun share a one bedroom apartment in New York City? Find out in Fox's new series- Pages and Swords!

    Now my Secret Santa hasn't revealed himself. Instead he presented me with this letter, that s/he says had clues to his identity. Clearly all the detective books I've read have done nothing for me, because I'm hoping someone can help me;

I see yo've received your package!
    Indefatigably, you seek nmy name
Instead I've wrought this little plot.
Identify! To find mine, play the game

Creat an image in your mind
    Christmas trees, candies and more!
Cheer is what I hope to bring,
Crush me if I'm a bore

Excite your thoughts, what's in the box?
    Entertaining items, new and old;
Exemplary toys for young and young at heart,
Except they're not covered in mold...

    Many itmes you may wonder,
"Maybe it was sent to the wrong place?"
Mistakes are bound to be made,
My apologies here, if that is the case,

Open your presents, I do hope you like,
One by one, I chose them with joy!
Only, you don't already have them, do you?
Of course, itw ould make me a sad boy.

Probably that would be my fault,
Pretending to know you when I did not,
Possibly I got it all wrong,
Please tell me if I missed what you sought.

Pleasure! I hope it begins here!
Potential happiness! Is it in store?
Pray tell, what is your opinion?
Pretty please, tell me, I implore!

"Err on the side of caution,"
Explains why I got you these things.
Empty gifts I hope they're not,
Enjoy them! I hope your heart sings!

    Remember, this was a plot,
    Revelaing myself to you.
    Request: Ignore thepoor poem
Reply on the forum, please do!

So Santa, please reveal yourself so that I may fully thank you! You have totally made my week with your generosity.

So after long promising, I'm finally giving this post the treatment it deserves.

I was waiting for a case for my new tablet early last week when I hear footsteps come up to my door. The UPS man never knocks, just leaves the package and goes. So, thinking I'd finally have a safe place for my tablet, I went to the door and looked down.

Wait a second, the tablet was from Amazon, who always ships from UPS! This can't be right! USPS?!

    ...Wait a second.

    Santa came!

So I take to the box and I open it up to find a note inside, sure enough, my suspicions were correct.
    2w50lqe.jpg

I read the note, which I will edit to transcribe later, detailing a kind and thoughtful layout of gifts from my santa.

So, excited to see the bounty before me, I dig.

How nice of my santa, as he has included a mix-cd full of songs that are a joy to my ears!
    2iu96vl.jpg

Continuing my dig, I find what the note had indeed promised. An avid horror movie watcher, I often leave out the old classics that have shaped the movies I watch today. Santa, still batting .1000, comes through with not one, not two, but FIFTY classic horror movies!
    zjihiu.jpg

Surely, including the mix-cd, fifty-one fabulous gifts should be more than enough. Right? RIGHT? Wait a second, my santa mentioned another gift.

I dig deeper to find, woah...1600MS points!
    fz13ep.jpg

I contained my joy long enough to take a picture of the whole haul.
    24curt5.jpg

So excited. Thanks so much Santa, and sorry for taking so long to put this up. You have truly made this the most merry of Christmases.

After thanking Arikado for the gift of Dragon Age: More: Subtitles: Here: Edition (which already sucked up 7+ hours of my weekend) the other day, I was told to be sure to be home today. I couldn't, but thankfully the UPS guy was able to leave a package for me in the vestibule, and so it was waiting for me when I got home.

Of course, it was time for the package inspectors to do that annual duty for which they receive a generous yearly salary of treats, toys, and fish and poultry in that delicious gravy.
    1177.jpg
    Spunky leads the way.

    1176.jpg
Coco seems more interested in her closeup.

    1178.jpg
Grudging approval having been given, Spunky looks on closely and carefully. It wouldn't do to lose the human who opens the canned food.

    What have we here?
    1180.jpg
A wrapped gift. And an envelope. Time for further inspection.

    1179.jpg
Further inspection of that glorious box, that is.

    The plot thickens...
    1182.jpg
    Dun-dun-DUN!!!

    Open that wrapping!
    1183.jpg
As I delve deeper and deeper into working with Medicare, it wouldn't surprise me if some government agency actually did certify this. Cute packaging either way :P

    Wait...what?
    1184.jpg
    No...seriously...what???

    A santee is flabbergasted.
    1186.jpg
There is no more appropriate term. Flabbergasted.

    1187.jpg
Thankfully inspector Spunky reports to remind me that the true gift lies in the packing materials, not these silly electronic devices that don't even make noise or project lasers

I just... I mean... wow, Arikado. Not only are you amazingly generous, but you are a scary good stalker. Dragon Age was an excellent choice (pray for my marriage though if I log as many hours as you have ;-) ) but the Kindle... I'll put it this way, when my parents asked me for some gift ideas this past weekend, after much thought I told them the best thing for me with a baby on the way (and impending loss of room for bookshelves) and a new job that will have me out of town 2 nights a week, would be that exact model of Kindle. Seeing as the first delivery attempt was last week, Arikado apparently knew I wanted this before I knew I did :o

My parents want me to tell you that they are supremely impressed. My mother adds that, "you suck." I'm pretty sure she was at least half-kidding :P I can now happily tell them to pick out a new monitor for my PC instead, so that I can enjoy Dragon Age in something more suitable than 1280x1024 (eep!). Double bonus day!

As I was finishing typing this up, my wife called me over excitedly and I felt the baby kick for the first time. Triple bonus day! Christmas miracles abound! :D

Thank you, Arikado. That was some amazing gifting, and I am truly stunned and touched by it. Though the tearing up is more due to the baby kicking. Probably

Got this last week from HardTarget. Thanks man! You did perfect! I actually love the hell out of the DC animated movie series. I've seen under the red hood, but I don't own it. I had last week off on vacation to take care of some stuff and I was able to watch the green lantern already! Awesome picks!
yay! I took a chance on these, you don't post in the comics thread or anything and there isn't really any minecraft merch out there I could find (which most of your posts seem to focus on) so I decided to try and get you the best DC movies and hope you'd like them as much as I do :)

Glad you liked it. I was actually pretty limited on my stocking capabilities because of shitty deployed internets. You should have another package coming out soon, but it possibly wont be there until Jan or something. Whoa, a Kindle.
Wait, that's still books...so is that still gay? :D

It's extra gay since it pulls books from the air. It's like being assaulted by dongs 24/7!

    Icemopper?

Well now I just feel dumb. :P

Icemopper, you generous bastard! Thank you, so, so much!!! I already started the RL Stines books, and I think my gf liked the Buffy action figure more than I. Thousands of internet hugs to you!

Yaaaaaaayyyyy!!! I was so disheartened when I got home from work, then got all ready for bed, then went to bed, thinking the package was just sitting at the UPS store, how awful that would be!

But you got it, and I'm glad you like it all! I hope it brings joy for years to come, at least from the action figures sitting on your shelves!

BTW we should play SR2 coop tonite.
Consider it part of the gift :D

We should take some screenshots of all the madness and post it here.

If not tonight, then soon! I got it all worked out with the game working and all that, so I'll be good to go as long as I am free tonight. I'll keep you posted!

I secretly read through a fair bit before packing it up, it looked quite comprehensive! I was thinking that I'll have to get it myself, get myself out of the vicious cycle of Dogfish Head and Sam Adams.

Being catless, I figure that Summertime Fun Cthulhu can take the honors as serving to protect my address from ne'er-do-wells. Ry'leh's in the southern hemisphere, right? It's summer there.

Twas me santee! The other says it'll arrive by Friday at the latest ><; Glad you enjoyed your gift so far!

Nothing wrong with those two. I'd lean towards Dogfish Head myself though. I'm not really one to talk considering the random variety I consume.

Argh, this is always the toughest time for me. I sent out my gift and it was received so now I can only sit back and wait for my own. Then I start getting paranoid as each day passes and not a peep from my Santa.

Don't fret Santa though! I haven't lost faith in you!

I'd lean toward the same if I weren't so poor!

I just went to the post office to mail off a package to another friend, I feel terrible for anyone that has to go now, forgot how terrible it is. 45 minute wait.

So they found that package. It was hidden by the carrier because they scanned it as if they had delivered it and then scanned it as if they hadn't. I had to call the main post office twice to figure out what happened. So now I have two sets of presents for myself. Time to give it away to a local friend.

I can't believe I have to differentiate between local friends and internet friends now. this is awesome.

So I put my other car in "the shop" to get it inspected/winterized and I left the tracking number on the receipt in the car. how long does UPS usually take for ground shipping US? my santee only lives like 4 states away (about 8 hours by car). I'll just keep refreshing this page until he posts.

    Post dammit.
