    Sooooo

I got a package from ThinkGeek! I got the Zombie Protest Hoodie & Zombie Dice! Right now I don't have a camera available (my phone camera is being fail) but I will post a pic when I can!

Now....for the real question....which one of you is Matt C.?

My husband (and his credit card) are Matt C :P, there should be an included gift note that says
" Hope this keeps you warm! Merry Christmas, you'r Secret Santa, Valantine" maybe check the shipping slip?
We are both happy you got your gifts, Buying self help books for a stranger seemed a little akward and I got to play the Zombie Dice game at PaxE 10' and Loved it. I hope you have as much fun with them as I did.

    :-D

I checked the slip and everything, there wasn't any notes. I LOL'ed at the book comment. I have no sense of what's awkward anymore, so that's a fair comment. I love the sweatshirt (it's very warm) and I fell in love with Zombie dice at PAX as well, so it's a great addition to my games!

Yay I received my gift! It suddenly feels like Christmas. After lobbying my protest over the brokeRAGE fees paid to the nice UPS man, I was presented with the following. Sorry for the shitty cell phone pics. Can't find either of my cameras...
    Edmonton-20101220-00065.jpg

Yes a nice long box with a return address originating from the pacific northwest of the US. This is either the Sekrit Santa gift, or...something else I cannot mention here.
    Edmonton-20101220-00066.jpg

Nope definitely Sekrit Santa. So let's see what I got.
    Edmonton-20101220-00069.jpg

OMG these are so cool. The awesome guy who shipped this awesome stuff my way was Spoony. Though I'm sorry that I can't recollect when or if we've met on the battlefield, he did notice my love of a certain character. My TF2 package was rather Heavy...heavy. So thank you Spoony, and Merry Christmas. Beers may be headed your way at PAX East.

I agree. We should all allow Juju to buy us a drink.

Hell, it's my home turf. If you can get me I'll take you to my favorite pub (5 min bus ride from the BCEC) and I'll buy ya round. ;)

To my sendee: There was apparently an issue with the address provided, UPS has since said that they have delivered the gifts, I pm'ed you to make sure everything was in order with that. Hoping you've received them!

To my gift sender: First of all, you are the best, and I'm sorry for all the trouble I've caused with moving (X_X) That being said, I will be back at my place on the 26th, as I am going to visit the family for a few days leading up to Christmas. If it arrives before that I will make sure to post as soon as I get back! Thank you again!

Yay, so I got my present in from RebelsHeart and it is wicked awesome. The first awesome part is Zombie Dice, and as a lover of (almost) all things Steve Jackson I am happy to have this addition to my collection. We are always taking small games to parties so this will definitely get put into rotation. The second part was a DIY library kit with pockets, checkout cards and a date stamp!! Now, my library is already cataloged and organized, but MediaMan's checkout system kind of sucks, so this will be so helpful. I've already put cards into some of the books that I loan out the most. I would have taken pics of the opening, but I had just gotten home from a four hour hike and I think you could smell me through the pictures. :P
    5283969918_d6414aab1e_o.jpg
    Entire library package and game.
    5283378269_fa8902ecf5_o.jpg
    Book ready to loan!

And a note for my Santee. I had to order a special material for the custom part of your present, so it will be shipped tomorrow. I know it's a bit late, but I hope you find it worth the extra time.

    Gift Received!

I had an awesome post written up that took you through the whole thing better but here's the condensed version since my browser crashed:
    A BOX!
    IMG_0042.jpg

AN OPEN BOX! Full of Christmas joy!
    IMG_0046.jpg

Apparently an assortment full of California related things.

    First up:
A t-shirt! A very nice and comfy t-shirt. Plus I can pretend like I actually get to travel to places other than Seattle.
    IMG_0052.jpg

    Also a toque:
    Yes it's a toque not a beanie.

    IMG_0049.jpg

Aww the LA Dodgers? It's not the Dallas Cowboys but it's a start. The Dodgers did employ the first black MLB player and were the first team to use batting helmets, so that does make them pretty awesome. At least I wasn't sent a NY Yankees toque. It is a very nice toque though.

    But it gets cooler:
A LANYARD! A Buzz Lightyear / Toy Story lanyard with Claw Aliens on it. Best lanyard ever? Probably.

    IMG_0048.jpg

    CANDY:
Candy from California. Including homemade peppermint chocolate bark. Mint chocolate is the best kind of chocolate everyone knows that. The lollipops are Cinnamon and Pumpkin Spice flavor.

    IMG_0053.jpg

    MORE:
Being alergic to peanuts sucks. Sadly I have to choose between a life without peanuts or death. It would be almost worth it for Reese's trees.

    IMG_0050.jpg

    C is for:
COOKIES! Haven't opened them yet but the packaging is awesome.
    IMG_0054.jpg

    Oh yeah and a blanket...
    With polar bears on it.
    IMG_0058.jpg

    Obligatory picture of everything together:
    IMG_0057.jpg

and who was this awesome Santa? Rogue_hunter of course! Ohhh yeaaah!

Thank you for the awesome stuff Rogue_hunter.

So the wonderful cabsy was my Santa and she was very patient while I had to get a translator helped me retrieve the package from the customs office.... Why you ask? Did cabsy send porn? Subversive documentation? Evil lactose?

    Nope.

She sent awesome inflatable insects which the customs group had somehow translated into "exploding bugs". Evidently exploding things get the interest of customs. Go figure. After a short chat and demonstration of the harmlessness of the bugs, I brought them home....to utterly terrorize my cats.

The inflatable army holds Kaiser Soze at bay.

    fear.jpg

My package also included very aptly labeled wicked awesome socks and a pretty scarf to hide my face from the siberian winds.

But just so y'all know, my santa has a darker side....the one thing I said I loved about living in China during Christmas was not getting inundated with the shitty songs like Santa Baby...and what was on the back of my card?

    Dear Secret Santa,

I have no clue who you are, but the board game is fantastic, it plays similarly to a game my friends play while drunk, but this has pictures, so thus its even better.

Im going to bring it to our new years party/birthday bash for two of my friends and I who's birthdays are all on the 22nd of December.

    Thanks so much.

P.S. To my Santee, been working 12 hours a day for the last few weeks because of christmas, expect your present the first week of January, I already have it picked out and some neat stuff to go with it, I just havent had the time to actually get it. But yea, the place I said, said they'll let me ship it from there, using the companies Fed-ex account so it should have a quick arrival.

I will surely edit this post-Christmas, detailing my Santa's Powers of Gifting along with a confirmation photo-- I initially tried for a video, but all it really captured was squealing and intense bubble wrap-popping followed by colour sorting of the enclosed mini disco balls... SHINY THINGS ZBCL&^&&%*FLS@1

    [EDIT]

Said picture of awesomeness: two vintage sewing patterns, a rainbow of mini disco balls, and a wonderful book titled "Unstuff Your Stuff" to help me discern between crap and non-crap. ;)

Oh, and a lengthy letter, which I always appreciate!

Thank you soooo much, Zerzhul! The patterns are in great condition (I'd not ordered patterns through Etsy and was uncertain about what quality to expect)--funny thing, too, was that I'd returned from the fabric store with a heap of materials the day your package arrived. You'll definitely get to see 'em once the biz gets goin'! And that book is a blessing in disguise. I started reading it that night and haven't put it down. I love the author's pragmatic writing style and the thoughtfulness of his exercises. And it's about waaay more than just "stuff" so, really. Thank you. I need this more than ever.

I couldn't have had a better Santa. Hope to see you and possibly your super microbio lady at a PAX! :D (Mailing spore slides? Really?? You guys are too cool...)

@EruditeAphrodite The same thing happened to me on my slip! except mine was from someone on Facebook. I feel like there's some sort of Mystery Google thing going on with the ThinkGeek gift message group.

ANYWAY, I want to say thank you for all my gifts. It's like it's Christmastime or something with all the gifts I got (I also got some stuff from another Secret Santa on another forum, and let's just say the generosity of my internet brothers and sisters made me smile a lot during a really stressful time working this holiday season.)

So here's to all our secret santas, especially mine, Mystral721.

I hope you don't mind that I didn't do a step by step unboxing, but I did take pictures of all my stuff.
First, here's all of the items in one spot.
    paxsanta.jpg

In that picture, there is the Stylophone Beatbox (which I have been fiddling with a lot and love)and three items from Zazzle, a mandala t-shirt, a Latin dancer ornament, and a "Set the Standard" Standard dancer mug.

Now a closeup of the ornament (I felt like it was a bit small on the original picture).

I think that this is a great ornament, and I love doing the International Latin ballroom dances, but I have to say... I don't think the person who made this design up really realized that women's Latin skirts can have long fringe and feathers on the back that may or may not make it look like they are farting fire in silhouette. If this was your design, Mystral, just know I still love it to pieces. :D

Again, thank you sooooo much Mystral!
