The rules are whatever we decide they are on any given day.

Tomorrow is silly hat day. Anyone not wearing a silly hat will be banned.

I am always wearing a silly hat.

    Unless it is not-wearing-a-silly-hat day.

    Then I don't wear a silly hat.

    Yodatuna is her main account?

Imageshack now lets you register so you can manage galleries and whatnot. I haven't done it, but that's pretty nifty (photobucket also has galleries, but limits image dimensions to 800x600).

    So cute, Sheri!!!

Here's one more flower. It's framed for use as a desktop and not really framed/composed properly for art. Still, I think it's neat.

I dig it, pope. The composition works fine for art. What's art anyway? Shouldn't desktops be art? ;)

Ok, that's a pretty good point. Also, thanks!

If it were hanging on my wall it would bug me to no end to have the foreground object / subject on the edge of the image with so little of interest in the negative space. As a desktop that gives me a place for my icons. :-P

Love the colours of that flower photo!

Had to go out last night, so I thought I would take the camera along. I'm pretty happy with what I got, though there is a lot of noise.

I didn't notice this bird was sitting there until after taking a few shots:

On both of those, the composition really suffers. It bothers me that you can't see the top of that column, it looks as though it was a mistake that it wasn't included in the shot. Also, there's the end of a shadow on the lower left part of the frame that's really bothering me. And you may want to check your white balance on the second one - I know the whole warm colors is a preference (and lots of shots look great with warm light!) but it's a little overdone. Looks as if that shot was taken in a darkroom or something with all that overly near-red warm light.

Lastly, you may want to learn to use frame borders because with all those lines in your shots going off the frame, I found my eye going straight off the picture. Borders help "contain" the image.

In other words: "2much redz imo"

It's easily fix-able in photoshop by just adjusting it in the color balance.

Cool, thanks. I have to learn to be more critical with my shots. I wouldn't have noticed either of those things you pointed out for the top photo.

This thread is awesome, as usual. Sheri, I love those otters. Or seals. Or sea-weasels, or whatever.

And the legendary thread title has encouraged me to go on a photo-excursion today, for the first time in ages. Hopefully I will be back with a decent photo or two!
