Why is everything you say in this thread awesome?
feelin good y'all
I'm confused.
Why do you only have 1 deathcap?
Edit; Also, who is the Tree guy that people are constantly raving about? What's the URL for his stream?
The Wardfather

This is an excellent point.

She is awful
The word going around is that it's like building AD items on Annie
Except Annie actually has an AoE stun, so that might even be better!

I wonder what would counter that combo. Just banning randomly right now.
Edit; referring to Tree's pronunciation of ward
Except when he's targeting a Heimer running Clarity/Teleport
Then it is the truly greatest thing
If only I could actually get a kill instead of assists : (

Or right
Depending on your point of view
well
i only have 1 deathcap because the game seemed like it was gonna stretch real long, so another archangel's (or tear) would equal more AP over time

Thank you, sir
ummm.
you'd need more than 5,000 mana just to get equivalent to a deathcap.
just sayin'
She doesn't bring anything to the team, basically.
Like maybe she could be effective in a very small number of team comps, but it would have to be built around getting her ult off and be really coordinated and well-practiced. When you think about the number of ways people can just instantly stop her ultimate from damaging them, it basically requires some awesome conditions happening like a Malphite ultimate followed by a Janna nado before anyone regains control of their champions etc. Otherwise you just don't get off your ult. Like even if they get caught in something like an Amunu ultimate, they just have one or two people running cleanse and Amunu ult gets cleansed and Kat gets interrupted. Or if Kat's team doesn't have people under CC at all everyone just flashes/ghosts/innate blinks away and yawns.
So anyway maybe it could work in a few scenarios, but certainly in the solo queue environment she's in my top five "least want on my team" champions.

You're trading her so-so late game for slowing the enemy carry's farm and giving your team more time to win.

good enough for me
Push lanes with Tornado
Kill towers
Curse because your team fed incessantly so it didn't matter
So Janna is pretty similar to every other champion in the game.
I agree with this basic point, that it's her greatest strength, I just don't feel it's anywhere near strong enough to justify her lack of damage or utility in teamfights. I mean, for instance when I'm playing Tristana, I can lane against Katarina. She doesn't scare the shit out of me. She's strong, but I can still farm and get my job done when we get into the teamfight stage. At least from my experience she's not like Pantheon where her early game is so strong it's just scary (and certainly she doesn't have his global ultimate).

First three levels QWE then max W first, E secondary, obviously points in R at 6/11/16.
Start with mana crystal, build into Catalyst at earliest opportunity. If your first buy is something like Catalyst + Boots1 + as many wards as you can afford that's amazing.
After that I like to pick up Mejia's ASAP, then either Deathcap or finish Rod of Ages depending on how much I'm getting focused and whether I feel like I need more health.
Skill order is a pretty big deal on Janna. It hugely affects your playstyle. I used to max Q first and just nado people all the time. But the problem with that is it causes so much collateral damage to the creeps and causes you to push your lane which is really, really bad. It's also enormously mana hungry.
Maxing E first is very much just a stay WAY back and shield your lane partner all the time type build. I don't like it. I want to be aggressive in the lane.
W is mana efficient damage and allows you to kite extremely well either by slowing the enemies or just running fast when it's off cooldown. I prefer that playstyle in the lane and I think it's worth setting back your shield a little for teamfights. Definitely experiment for yourself and see what you like best though.

Shunpo and and the rest of her goodies can dish out the hurt.
Edit: Tree's stream would be twice as good if he talked half as much
I like Tree babbling constantly, heh
