I want one of those modified versions of the $100 laptop they're going to sell in developed countries for $200, essentially for word processing, the occasional web browsing, and playing starcraft
I'm sure glad we've sorted out this important point
Moogles in 8 were limited to the chocobo raisin' tamagotchi minigame thing, from which you could get items for the main game that allowed you to summon mog in battle or something
I remember winning one or two 2v3s with RedTide back when we played together all the time, but man...that's not easy.
I figured that you would have to take one of us out early somehow. We all got to tech a good bit before most battles, or at least I did.
I need a new strategy besides mass ranged. Then again NE has like 1 real melee unit.
Yeah, that's what I wanted to do, but it's hard when I'm not playing with one of my usual AT partners and the map doesn't have a tavern. So we ended up just trying to outlevel people and make a few decent unit counters.

How about scouting/harrassing a lot and then picking a tech based on what the enemy is building? Take a breather to expand if the harrass won't lead directly to victory, you know...and keep adapting your force to counter theirs. Night Elf have some really nice hard counters if you can keep an eye on what the other side is doing.
Is there something that you know about Starcraft 2 that you would like to discuss? I think what is known was covered in the first few pages, now we are discussing other things.
If there is something that you know about Starcraft 2 that you would like to discuss start something up, I am sure others will converse with you.

I still fail to see how archers are a counter to rifles. I guess it comes down to number of units in that case.
I might just be used to Rise of Legends, but isn't there some way to just select all my units and tell them to move? Making groups of 12 is really really annoying. I'd rather have one big group and then double click sets I want to move, most of the time.
Anyway, I decided I like KOTG with POTM a lot. I think that's what I used to use back in the day. Scout is nice, as is entangle and auras, or searing arrow.
You can get archers much faster then riffles. Supplement your army with dryads/fairy dragons if they add casters. If they have siege as well, you will have the most difficulty. Humans have a very powerful tier 2. Your best bet at that point is to try and get to dryads/bears.

1) Range. Archers have 500 range, which can be upgraded to 700 at tier 2. Rifles are 400 range, and can upgraded to 600 at tier 2. This means that archers get the first shot and can FF better.
2) Elune's Grace. Archers receive a passive reduction to all piercing, magic, and siege damage. Rifles don't.
I don't recall, off-hand, how the actual DPS and hit point ratios work out, but given that archers are 2 food and rifles are 3, archers have an edge. Plus, archers are lower-tech than rifles so you can make them earlier.
The issue is between Entangle and Flamestrike or Blizzard. AoE destroys archers, but individual-unit attacks harm rifles more. Also, shadowmeld gives a micro advantage if you're careful...you can take archers out of fire if you do it right. Healing scrolls help archers more than rifles, too, because (again) it's AoE.

Yeah there's a Moogle village there.
Was fun though.

Yeah, that's why I wanted the Ranger. Those skeletons really add up early on.
Hearing that my skeletons did something positive for our team makes me warm and fuzzy inside.

I'd forgotten how great this game is.
Zug-zug.
We are all pretty horrible, except defender.
I can play in the afternoon today, and maybe late in the evening (right around when shes wonderin' what clothes to wear) as in like, 11:30.
I'll watch the boards.
