Thanks for the update Macrogeek! I'll bring it up when I do a status check with them tomorrow morning as well.
I'd just like to remind everyone that orders will be filled in the order they are received. Please do not delay in ordering because the sooner you order, the sooner your coins will be shipped.

They would probably love a group shot of us with our coins in their forums. They're very proud of the work they do on the coins, and they love to receive feedback on them.

I'd love to take part in this if possible. Sounds awesome.
Currently playing: MvC3
Other games: SSF4, Smash Bros Brawl, Pokemon HG, Magicka
It's an coin to mark the event, not a "support my gaming addiction of choice" coin.
but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
Call them.
If you call USCC, you can directly get the status on this. I'll be getting an update on the issue when I call them tomorrow morning.
UPDATE: They've worked through most of the Paypal refunds, only 2 remain. They will do those two tomorrow morning.

Thanks for following up, karma.
If anyone decides to organize this please PM me so I will know. Thx.
Ordered 3 coins today!
I ordered with Goolgle Checkout and I got what APPEARS to be a confirmation from them... but not sure i it is actually coming from Google or not.

Update: I got a proof picture from USCC. Right now we're just waiting on final approval from Papaprinny on the proof in case there is anything wrong with it, and then USCC will put the coin into production. Right now they're geared up to make 350 coins, and we can find out more estimates of when they'll ship once they start striking the coins.

Holy carp this looks awesome. I hope to get it before PAX. If not, I'll still be stoked to have it.
I hope that's just because of the picture.
It's because the coin is shiny right now, it hasn't been plated yet. The proof is primarily to double check the die to make sure there are no defects. Shiny coins don't photograph as well, but once it's plated, it will have an antique finish, just like the Prime coins. From what I can see, the text on the coins look to have roughly the same definition.

1.75" in diameter. These are the same dimensions as were used with the PAX Prime Community Coin.

Looks pretty good. For some reason, Paul Revere looks like Panthro to me....
I am also curious about the size of the coin. In my original design suggestions, I advocated a fairly sizable coin - like 2" or something - but I'd forgotten about that since then since most of the discussions have been around the design itself, not the size or finish. To my untrained eye this looks a little smaller than that, maybe more like 1-1.5".
but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
Papaprinny has sent back asking for a redraw and a second proof on that.
It was decided to try to keep the community coins at a static size. Since the last one was 1.75", this one is continuing that tradition. 1.75" is a good compromise between size and cost. The price increases exponentially as you increase the size. The size in the picture is hard to measure without a point of reference, but we paid for 1.75" coins so they should be 1.75".

Given the crowd, I can't imagine a more appropriate comparison.
The coins are looking good! I'm glad to hear the text is going to be similar to the Prime coin. I was worried about the definition too but I can't wait for the final product!
