Is that even possible?
I remember reading a story once about a guy and his friend who wound up going to a WWE event, and wound up with seats up somewhere next to Shane McMahon.
Apparently the guy's friend didn't like the show WWE was putting on, and eventually Shane had enough of it, pulled out his wallet, and basically gave the guy his money back if he'd just shut up and go.
...or so the legend goes.
On my way in, as I passed the merch table I saw a long line leading to another table. I stopped to look, and it was the line to meet Jim Cornette and get his autograph. I say to myself out loud, "Oh shit, Jim Cornette's here, fuckin' A!" Just as the words exit my mouth, I hear someone right next to me say "Excuse me, son". I recognize the voice, I turn around, and it's Jim Cornette. I apparently stopped right in his path to look at his table, and he's asking me to get out of his way so he can go behind the curtain before the show. Fearful of being the victim of a Cornette Shoot I get the fuck out of the man's way. I didn't have the nerve to come back for an autograph.
Just a word to the wise: If you're thinking about paying a little extra for ringside seats to a RoH show, make sure the available seat is in the first three rows. On paper a seventh row ringside seat looked good but I was one row from the back of the section. The people who got $13 bleacher seats got a better view than I did. On top of that, I got seated behind two of the fattest wrestling fan stereotypes available. One of them wasn't just fat, but also like 7' tall, and was constantly turning around to the kids next to me to tell bad jokes and say 'oh shit did you see that' a lot. He also was the last to sit down after every big spot, to the point that me and the guy on the other side of me missed the part of Homicide's match where they were fighting in the crowd. Much to my amusement the guy next to me gets up and slaps the fat fuck upside the head and tells him to sit the fuck down. We didn't hear too much from him for the rest of the show.
The other guy in front of me was around 300 lbs in a 200 lb-man's pair of pants. His ass was not fully in his pants the entire time I was there. He would stand up between matches to fix his pants, but alas, as soon as he sat down there was his ass all over again. The worst part was that his pants actually acted as a bit of a push-up bra for his ass crack for as tight as they were, so he had plumber's butt like some women have cleavage. I have a picture of it on my disposable camera but now I'm afraid to take it back to Wal-Mart for development for fear I may never be able to shop there again.
Speaking of stereotypical wrestling fans, I don't know how many of the crude comments from the dickbrains in the audience made it to the live stream during the womens' match but I was ashamed for the entire crowd. Not just kids either, grown fucking men with bald spots and pot bellies were yelling some uncalled for shit. I wouldn't have blamed them for cutting the match short on that account alone. The worst part was, all of the seats had flyers for a SHIMMER event later on this spring, and I honestly hope none of those idiots show up for that.
The Kings of Wrestling vs. ANX match was probably the most fun I've had at a wrestling show. Our section heckled the shit out of Claudio. You can see him turn around like 3 times on the apron for us. Up until the main event I was prepared to call it the best match on the card.
Due to my poor seats and the fact that it happened on the floor in front of my section I missed seeing Daniels' bump on the floor at the end of the match, but it was fucking loud. Even without seeing it I was legit worried about him.
I almost left before the main event to retrieve my rental car, as the venue had enough parking spaces for like 50 people and I had to park at the end of a dark street in a Chicago suburb between two low rent apartment buildings. I ended up staying for the whole thing though, and I do not regret it one bit. Haas and Benjamin were wasted on WWE writers.
More will probably spring to mind later but that's all I can remember for right now. Great show overall even if two or three of the matches were shit. Cabana should have gone over in Chicago, by the way. Just throwing that out there.
Daniels' bump was weird. When the two of them toppled over the ropes to the outside, he somehow got flung all the way to the guardrail, where he toppled into it head first.

Remember when they could actually run that kind of angle with Matt Hardy?

The first thing I see when I tune into this?
Los Guerreros coming out for a tag team triple threat... followed by Chris Benoit.

I wish I had kept my Wrestlemania 1-14 box set. It was unedited.
Edit: Also that stream is up to HBK vs. Jericho at Safeco Field.
Oh man. Mick Foley's second book was littered with this. It's like he wrote it before they changed it to WWE, and then someone went through with Find>Replace to change federation to entertainment, regardless of context.
The paperback version of his first book had that too, as well as editing out things like Al Snow's real name and the name of one of his ex-girlfriends, if I recall.
Turned this on, the match that's on?
hhh vs booker t
There's a mythos that has been built up around the Trips/Booker ending that the actual ending doesn't come close to.
Though it would probably have worked better if Booker had taken a decent bump on that Pedigree.
occasionallywearsahat.com, my rambly ramblings of ramble
It's a bad ending to a good match that sours the whole match.
After that, Trips hits the Pedigree and goes down, taking about as long as Booker did earlier before he crawls over and covers. No lounging against the ropes, in fact he doesn't stand up again until Flair drags him out of the ring.
The long wait between the Pedigree and the cover, partly due to Bookers bad bump, is the only really bad thing about that ending.

Though they would skip all the Benoit matches, which would make it suck.
On the Unforgiven set there is one of matches which ends with something like a million consecutive germans, and after that Benoit gives this creepy laugh that's so chill inducing...
Oh man, they gotta throw down at Mania.
Oh Snap son.
...inserts himself as special guest referee in Cena's match. Calls it clean down the middle, and Miz wins clean (AHAHAHAHAHAHA...oh wait, I'm serious, let me laugh even harder). Cena gets pissed and FUs him. And yeah, he calls it the FU in his promo the next night. Where he tears Rock a verbal new one without a single gay joke. Well, okay, maybe one.
Instant heel turn.
Oh hey Scotty 2 Hotty
edit: Crowd is really hot for Benoit.
edit: Shit, something in my eye.
It was such an amazing moment at the time, but watching it now it's just painful.
Steam: Chagrin LoL: Bonhomie
I know what you mean; I try to avoid that, but sometimes I forget myself. Even so, it sort of works... better than "the World Championship Wrestling," if only slightly.
And wow, I wish I didn't have such a busy day tomorrow, or else I'd be watching that live stream... just clicked on it, and it was about to have Orton vs. Undertaker.
...you know it
