Taxidermy (from the Greek for arrangement of skin[1]) is the act of mounting or reproducing dead animals for display (e.g. as hunting trophies) or for other sources of study.

Well big whoop let's see some dead shit!

When I was growing up, we had a taxidermy opossum mounted in a snarling defensive position on a preserved tree branch above the entryway to our kitchen.

I can understand getting a purebred working dog, like a herding or spitz breed, because they've been bred specifically to be intelligent and healthy.

I might be biased because I really want a shikoku inu.

I still think it's largely preferable to adopt a homeless dog than to buy one from a breeder.

and i really want like a purebred corgi and a shiba inu and a dachshund and a pug

but i realize that this isn't healthy and perpetuates the purebred problem

but if they are already at a kennel/pet rescue/adoption place?

    all in

I still have to bite my tongue when someone I know goes out and gets a purebred puppy. I used to openly lecture people when I was still a volunteer foster, but I guess I can't yell at people for buying something they want in the end, I just can't stand the ones that buy from backyard breeders.

Corgi's are pretty hardy for their body type, only issue they have is back problems, and thats more enviromental then specifically because of their breed (they tend to climb up on things and jump off of them causing them to herniate disks and such). They also share hip displasia with other shepard like breeds, but in my experience have less of an occurence of it, at least their natural walk doesn't look uncomfortable.

Well, it's too bad. I'd imagine that somewhere in Philly there is a decent coat that would fit you ( I saw some stout people when I was last there). I am sure that you will look fine.

I guess on the bright side, you don't have to worry about having something in your closet that doesn't fit when you lose the weight.
