Down the hall I have neighbors that are a colorfully mohawked, overly pierced gay couple. One of them got locked out on his way home from work while the other was at the bar, and I helped him out by letting him stash his bags in my place while he went to scrounge the bars for his other.
The other finally showed up, only because all bars closed half an hour ago, and damn he gave me the dirtiest look when I was handing the bags back over.
It's stories like this that make the Boondock Saints and Rorschach so popular. You just want to find people like those hick bastards and just hurt them. Just hurt them.

I'm 6'1" or 2" and fairly stocky, 200lbs ish, dress like a cross between office worker and indigent vagabond, so walking around at night in the city is never fearful for me. There's been a couple of times where some drugged up person has tried to turn around and follow me for a block or two but I just turn around and let them pass me by and nothing happens.

Sometimes on Friday or Saturday nights, I'll carry a knife in my pocket, for "just in case", but my real plan is always "run like crazy right into the 24 hour grocery store with the security guards and on-site police crew"
