It's a lot easier (and I believe a bit safer) when you're just adding an item into your bag or something like that, rather than using an AR code that's not tailored to your save file to attempt to do the same thing

That's pretty much the long and short of it. You can backup your retail carts save with the flashcart then move the save from there to your PC. There are a few programs out that make it a pretty painless process. Can PM me and I'll give you a link or three to help.
