    In case anyone was waiting for it, The Illusionist hits DVD next week.

    And the week after that, we get the first five episodes of the Gobots series for some reason. Digitally mastered, even.

    Huh. A lot of coincidental similarities between the two shows then. Gumball's sounding a lot like Chowder (complete with the squeaky gasp), the use of mixed animation types, and the pink rabbit characters.

    I've only seen a few clips but the new Looney Tunes feels a lot like Tiny Toons or Taz-Mania

    Just caught two episodes of Gumball on TV this morning.

    It's really good stuff. Interesting characters, good animation, and it's just funny.

    So Aqua Unit Patrol Squad is basically Aqua Teen Hunger Force with a new intro and todays Superjail was wonderful, this whole season has been so far.

    I lurve the new animation in Superjail but it doesn't have the same magic that the first season did. I can't describe it, but it's not as good to me.

    I don't know, there was a very fragile balance that made the show really good that isn't there anymore

    it doesn't feel as dark and twisted.

    I feel the fluidity of the animation for the new season really detracts from the aesthetic that it had. With the worse animation it felt dark and grungy while now it's like some shiny thing being vulgar and it just feels weird.
