    anyway, I rather like the tendency of humanisers to mix up the ethnicity of the cast a little. Means that the default concept of sapient animals (that don't have ridiculous accents) isn't neccessarily 'white', which is kinda cool.

    so, I finally just watched the last episode, and honestly, I found Fluttershy's maniacal laughter bit to be funnier (only by a smidgen) than her final blow-up later on. that was the best moment, I think.

    I'll second that. The net sequence was the best part of that subplot. (Especially how meek she sounded after getting caught in it)

    The recent shenanigans in this thread piqued my curiosity, so I did a forums search, and it seems like FIM is being discussed without problems on quite a few boards. It's taken root on the Escapist, Gaf, RottenTomatoes, and nearly every other community that talks about games, cartoons, and entertainment. It was kind of shocking to see dozens of active threads from all corners of the internet about this show. There was even a short lived thread on a military forum. :lol: Anyway, the only site that banned it, as far as I can tell, was SA, which led to the creation of the very best FIM forum due in large part to the strict moderation from the staff. Is it really that hard to smack warnings or even bans on the offending parties? It seems to work everywhere else, and it should be easier here since most of the posters in here aren't creepy.

    That being said, back to our wholesome discussion about technicolor equines. What monsters do you want them to use next in season 2? I'd like to see a kraken, a roc, and Spike's parents just for starters.

    As far as monsters for season 2 go, I'd like to see a Minotaur and a giant spider. Everything can benefit from giant spiders.

    While not monsters, I think it would also be neat to see some deer/sheep/antelope in MLP (I keep thinking there may have been a fleeting deer in a shot somewhere, but I can't place where it would've been). Given that all the other hoofed animals they've shown have been sentient/capable of speech, I imagine these likely would be too. A giraffe would also be interesting to see in that context.

    4chan banned all instances of MLP in every forum for a while. 4chan currently bans all instances of MLP outside of the MLP thread.
    Shoryuken thread banned.
    PA Thread moved to another forum and only survives because of one mod constantly defending it.

    So yeah stop with the creepy. If PikaPuff can stop being creepy for a thread, I think anyone can.

    It's like this. You know that one PA comic where Gabe and Tycho emerge from slimy cocoons and talk about EA and Marvel while nude (albeit viewed from behind)? That's one thing.

    Imagine the exact same situation, but Annarchy's there instead. That's why we're not going anywhere near MLP porn, or even mild erotica. Doesn't matter what kinds of deviance the grownup characters are depicted as doing, involving her in them is something they'd never, never do. That's the line, ahead of the usual restrictions about posting NSFW things in the open.

    And this is still primarily a kids' show, even if it's one with wider appeal than usual. Excuses of "Well, technically they're adults..." or "But this picture ages them up to..." don't fly. Perception is what it is, and perception, more than solid offenses, is (usually) what gets these things shut down. So full stop, we're not going there.
