I was just kidding Everyone can alter Shep to their specifications. It's part of what makes the series so great. I, for one, despise RPG's that don't let players design their own characters. They make me feel...limited, for lack of a better description.
Speaking of boxart, someone from Neogaf snagged an alleged ME3 boxart from EA's site. Aside from being awful, it shows a purple "Better With Kinect" banner. Say it ain't so Bioware!
Rumor: Mass Effect 3 To Feature Kinect Support On 360
While Mass Effect 3 will be the first game in the series to be released on the PlayStation 3 at the same time as on Xbox 360, it sounds like the 360 version may still have some unique and exclusive features. If a leaked cover image is to be believed, the much-awaited sequel will utilize Microsoft's Kinect technology in some way.
The rumor seems to have originated from some Xbox 360 box art for the game that was briefly posted to the EA Store. The box art contained a purple band across the top proclaiming "Better with Kinect." Obviously the game will not require Kinect, since it's playable on other systems with traditional control methods, but it sounds like BioWare may be cooking up some creative uses for the motion-sensing technology.
What could the Kinect elements in Mass Effect 3 be? We'll likely have to wait until E3 to find out. I wouldn't at all be surprised if this announcement is part of the Microsoft press conference on Monday, June 6.
I'm really curious what we can expect from this. Ghost Recon I'd expect hand gestures or some such, but what about this? The same?
Probably something more quickly done and easier to do with the press of a button.

Since it's a 'better with Kinect' label, I think the "OMG PLAY MASS EFFECT 3 WITH KINECT!" chuffing is just stupid. If it is even a thing, it'll likely be some kind of minigame or exclusive bonus mission or whatever, like EA did with the Deathly Hallows game. Anyone expecting or fearing having to play the whole game with Kinect will be disappointed.

I would actually be cool with it if you could manipulate the galaxy map with Kinect.

Well, all the classes get a cool melee move now. I assume Soldier Shep's is stabbing dudes in the face Wolverine style. Adept gets Kaiden's 'kick a dude's head off'. Vanguard pokes people with a finger and they explode. etc.

In 2011, the penny-arcade forums discovered a new phenomenon when a thread reaches 100 pages....
It would be cool to use the kinect with the radial menus.
Or separate, the radial menus give you the normal Paragon, Renegade, Investigate or Leave options.
Kinect adds an additional "Hug" and "Enough of your Disingenuous Assertions" layer for companion and love interest conversations.
[edit]Though adding Kinect controls for Adepts/Biotic powers could set an interesting trend - weapons are controlled with a controller, "magic" and squad commands requires gestures and motion.
It's going to take some serious quads to romance THIS princess.
