This wasn't so much a "oh hey, comic threads are now all about Doctor Who" as much as a "there's an alley without a TARDIS in it. This shall not stand."

Somehow, I missed that the last thread made it to 100 pages. Somehow, I missed that there was a new comic edits thread made. Somehow, I missed that SABREMAU made the OP for the new comic edits thread. And worst of all, up until this moment I somehow missed Sabremau's return video. I consider my life UNLIVED, up until this moment. How could I have missed these things?
How is that even on an assessment test? I mean, is prostitute on their too? Or at least 'exotic escort' because really now ... fucking miming?

Apparently I fell into some kind of statistical ghetto where I scored high enough on creativity and low enough on everything else that the cynical jerk who put the test together just went with "FUCK YOU BE A MIME"
but who knows, maybe if I went to Mime School I'd be happy in my professional life? The various mimes in the French Quarter in New Orleans all seem to be pretty gung ho about their jobs... but then again, if you were looking for mime prostitutes, that's probably where you'd find 'em...
Probably the Casey Anthony murder trial going on right now.
I'm surprised that everyone hasn't been annoyed to death with constant updates on the damn thing interrupting regular programming on every channel. Maybe there is hope for the world somewhere.

I haven't even heard of this case.
I'm not trying to be ironic or "ooh, I'm so off the grid" or anything like that. I literally have not heard of it before this moment.

I listen to NPR daily and it hasn't come up.
The case is relatively normal, a woman either killed her child or let it die through negligence, but the Media has exploded to 24/7 coverage, it's a cornerstone of every major news outlet, there are lines outside the courthouse for spectators to enter and watch, at which there were fistfights over someone breaking the line and several were injured and arrested, and to top it off local area channels are interrupted by news breaks the same way severe storms or warnings would be. There are several live streams by every outlet, interviews and commentary by former judges and attorneys (like golf or football), It's insane. Probably only a big deal on the terrible American Media channels. CNN, FOX, NBC and CBS have been running nonstop.
I was at a Barnes and Noble and was confronted about what I thought of the case while shopping, and that's not the only place. It's worse than the 2008 elections down here. People have actually been hurt in discussions over it.
I'm glad this stuff isn't as widespread as I thought, though. I figured this edit was very timely, but the fact no one gets it outside of the state makes me hopeful that folks are complete monsters everywhere.

JUSTICE FOR CAYLEE
I've seen bits of the trial on TV but I've kinda blocked it out.
Hate to place a request here, but I have no idea what thread it's in, trying to find my favorite Sabre edit, An edit of http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2007/8/31/, where it uses Evil Twisp.

I am ashamed to be from Orlando.
It's the only part of the Escapist's site I read.
Adobe Premiere CS4, but only because CS5 requires a 64-bit system. I can run that on my laptop, but it's slower processing.
a high degree of carelessness and disregard of the consequences
Nice edit embedded within an edit.
That fucking mime. At least he has the courtesy to keep things quiet.

Post of the week.
Dunno about you guys, but it feels a little weird meta-editing a Sabre edit. Like getting caught smuggling a bucket of paint into the Louvre.
