Boots = no nade launcher at all
Shield = less protection than targe and no stickies
Sword = doesn't get heads which means no extra health or speed.
it does make my computer melt down!
also yeah that junk look broke as all hell
well for the demo items the drawback is that they're not the pipe launcher and sticky launcher, the best weapons in the game.
For the sniper rifle, I have no idea, maybe they forgot to mention that its base charge time is longer than the default rifle's or something.

Demos were already incredibly dominant in melee mode, with a whole range of options
