Aw, I'm not doing it for PAX, but I was thinking of being Gem (Or another Siren) from Emerald City Comicon next year.

Update on my Chell: Sadly no pictures though.

Got the jumpsuit today. Looks really nice. Got to make a few alternations.

Boots: Got the metal the other day. Still haven't messed with them yet. Will wait till next week to worry about them.

Portal gun: messed up on the spray paint this afternoon but nothing major. I have all the pieces for the gun now

I also have the blue lights ready to go but the orange ones are still being a problem. My soldering keeps coming undone so it's been hard to everything adjusted.

Update!

I have glove, glovelets, boots, leg covers, shorts, shoulders, and tabard made. I am so nearly done and will post pictures when that moment comes. Right now I am waiting on a border to come into stock to put on the tabard and then going to see if a print shop here in town will do the design on the tabard to make it look smoother, if not then I am bribing a friend with some money to draw the design onto the tabard and then I will paint over that drawing. Hopefully the print shop will do it!

Also, new forum layout is kinda freaking me out O_o

Aaaaaack. The pattern on the pants was a damn dirty liar. Those are going to have to be completely redone due to the waist being about 4 inches too small.

Oh well, Imma do the gloves tomorrow so that I can feel better about myself.

So no Metroid Zero Suit this year, just too busy and having trouble supplying the silicon. So next year I will have that out and about. This year there will be a Tardis, Moogle, and maybe a Steampunk Geisha.

I'm finally making some good progress on my Sun Shang Xiang (Dynasty Warriors) costume. Thankfully my boyfriend is helping me with the chakrams, since I don't know the first thing about making prop weapons. (Though I am learning.)

I'm not sure the others who were going to do Dynasty Warriors costumes with me are doing it now, so it may just be me. (Which is fine, but it was so fun being in a group last year!)

Can't believe we only have 37 days left!

got the "enhnced" parts for altair (official glove and vanbraces), now to get fabric so the fiance can help me make the sub-zero costume. Got the shoes for it, and paintball mask. Cant wait to see everyone, ITS SO CLOSE!!! :DD

I'll wear my World of Warcraft level 70 tier 4 Priest (Incarnate Regalia) costume; not sure which day yet. However, I still need to finish my <Staff of Infinite Mysteries>.

I'd be up for making a level 1 character if someone is starting a group for a photo op.

I'm starting to worry there won't be a lot of cool cosplay this year. Last year this thread was so much bigger with many more pictures of what people were doing. I hope I am wrong that is part of the coolness of PAX.

I sorta want my costume to be a surprise, so I am not posting much on it. I am not going as anyone from any game or fandom deal.. I am making this up, because its gonna be fun and I hope make people laugh. I think you all should finish and do what makes you happy and not worry about how many others there are, because if you dont finish it and you show up and there are tons of people all over in cosplay.. and you didn't finish yours, you'll be sad. So Please finish and show up in your cosplay.. it will make you happy and others too!

Fine guys, I guess I'll finish it

I havent posted any pics because I don't really have anything to show....considering there isn't much to show for Poison Ivy. Although, I am still waiting on my nude colored body suit and my wig. I also have to get the Arkham design on the back of the shirt. Might just make a stencil and spray paint it. ALSO! I have to sew vines and stuff to the jumpsuit and make leaf like underwear to wear on top xD I bought some body glue so I will also be gluing random leaves to my arms, neck, chest, and face. So just a lot of little things to do but I'm hoping to get it all done on time!

Well Do you have a color printer? Maybe print it on a t-shirt transfer and then just iron it on? I can do it, but I wont be in Seattle Until the week of PAX, I could print it out for you and bring it with me...

You'll note that Nerf guns are not allowed, along with airsoft and other toy guns that can fire projectiles.

Might want to tell the Protomen that, their arm cannon is built out of a nerf gun. Besides, deactivated, stripped down nerf guns aren't banned from the Protomen concert which is what this is all for anyway. I had planned on building a pax safe buster cannon due to the "people are fucking morons and can't be trusted" rule anyway.

You are correct, a deactivated nerf guns can't fire and doesn't look like a real gun, so it is allowed. Don't be surprised when your nerf gun gets checked.

(also, the Protomen are playing at PAX, at Jamspace)

it has been said in the past that anything that has *ever* had the ability to fire is banned (khoo post in the east cosplay thread this year). The wording in the weapons/props post didn't explicitly call out deactivated things one way or the other.
