Just came here to say the same thing. Tried various RSS button's scattered around and they all behave the same way. Also, is the RSS a different feed entirely than the old one because my old one isn't updating with the new stuff either.

Yeah, I'm wondering this, too.
Also, wondering why I am not seeing the new comic at all, or the new site design? I think Robert said that it should be up now? Am I hitting an un-updated CDN cache or something?

The URL has changed over the years but the one I posted is the one that I have been using for quite a while. It appears to be the same one currently linked from the new main page.
After Gabe's tweet I get the new site design now. Curious to see if I'll see the RSS items pop up as well, or if it won't work 'til Weds. Sometimes Google Reader is weird like that for me.
The RSS feed link just redirects you to the actual HTML page. That's why you're getting a parsing error. The old RSS URL (http://www.penny-arcade.com/rss.xml) also redirects to the new site as well, so same issue. There appears to simply be no RSS feed at all right now.
Yes, the RSS feed is indeed broken right now. As someone who uses Google Reader for everything, it felt weird having to visit the main page again haha.
You fuck wit' Die Antwoord, you fuck wit' da army.
I'm seeing the same thing. After the articles updated again (all 8 of them), the 5 news post articles still linked to the current front page. The 3 comic articles had changed so that they all pointed to today's comic (2011-08-22) instead of Friday's (2011-08-19).
Even when NOTHING changes you still get like 10 updates from the Penny Arcade RSS feed. Please fix it, it's so annoying I'm contemplating just removing the feed.
Also, the GUID of _every_ entry in the feed is prefixed by "/2011/08/29/", even though their actual dates range from the 24th to the 30th. I'd speculate that this prefix is being scraped out of whatever post happens to be at the top of the front page, which is currently "Contingencies". This is causing every post in the feed to reappear as a "new" post every time the prefix changes.
The whole feed refreshed again this morning but now the links actually go to their respective comics/newsposts. We'll see what happens over the next couple days but it looks to me like it might be fixed.
@Zero That's what I used to see until today. It works for me now in Google Reader and according to the feed's source code there are no longer any links with the broken "news" directory in the URL. Maybe the feed is cached somehow in Netvibes?
Any chance someone is looking at fixing the RSS feed? It's irritating sorting through a flood of "new" items you've already seen every Monday/Wednesday/Friday.
I put in a fix for RSS last night. The issue was that the guids for each post weren't being generated properly (generated based on current date, not post's date) so old posts were constantly seen as "new". After today this should no longer be an issue - I'm sure I'll hear about it on Friday if that's not the case >_>
hi,
i just wanted to shout out a big THANK YOU for the individual RSS-Feeds!!!
you might consider to increase the limit inside the feeds from 10 to 50 (or even 100) notices/items.
i personally just watch extra credits and can't wait for the new episode every wednesday, so for me 1 item per feed would be enough but i'm not that egoistical to think only about me. there might be some people who only visit once a month or even once a year. yes its unlikely since you have such a good site ...
well
seems like the RSS feeds for extra credits are down... if you click on in it shows "Show Fucker 6000" ??? WTF?
it's like the only show i follow here so i'm wondering why extra credits is down but everything else is still running?
hope it will be fixed soon.
Looks like some kind of syntax error with the most recent EC episode. The feed for all of PATV is also somewhat broken (no shows after the last EC episode show up).
It's probably either the break tags in the description or the query string in the link to the external Extra Credits forum not being escaped correctly.
I believe that Show Fucker 6000 is the name of PA's internal RSS feed generator for PATV. I assume this because the description on the main site (comic/news) feed is News Fucker 6000.

Fixed (for this one anyway, there's a dumb encoding issue I have to settle). Thanks!

I guess i'll post about that somewhere else
Yay! It is fixed.
The news post links all go to the current news page. Example: the link for "The Price of Free" (2011-08-17) in the RSS feed is http://penny-arcade.com/news/the-price-of-free. This leads to the current front page, with "Territory" (2011-08-19) as the top news post. The link should probably be http://penny-arcade.com/2011/08/17/the-price-of-free.
Also, today's comic "The Eastern Front" links to http://penny-arcade.com/comic/2011/08/19, which is "Territory" from last Friday.
The rest of the site is slick though, so nice work on that.
I click on "Comic: Fix Your Shit" and that takes me right to the latest comic.

See here: http://www.google.com/reader/public/atom/feed/http://penny-arcade.com/feed?n=99 , paying attention to the "original-id" fields.

Also the lack of a PATV feed makes me

Can a mod/administrator forward this to @Kethenn?
