Joel is awesomer than Mike but Bill Corbett will always be Crow. Not to denigrate Trace Beaulieu, but he just isn't really Crow just like Chris Pine isn't really Kirk.

well I grew up watching late-era Mike-era MST3K on sci-fi. I mean I saw some earlier stuff: we had Mitchell on VHS and I watched that a bunch of times - but I grew up watching mostly Corbett-era stuff so it makes sense that Trace's Crow just sounds weird to me. Not bad, but weird.
("you grew up with Mike but you prefer Joel?" Well Joel is just so sleepy eyed and laid back and charming!)
But then your analogy is totally bunk.
Good point. Trace isn't really Crow just like...Brian Cox isn't really Hannibal Lector!

We saw in my 7th grade English class, adding more fuel to my theory that teacher was, in fact, evil.
Also, the episode premiered a couple years after that, which meant that I had mostly forgotten it. I spent the first 30 minutes of the episode thinking "wait, I have seen this somewhere before" before shouting "OH MY GOD".
Parts! The Clonus Horror should get more respect, especially since it was later remade.
What was funny about Parts the Clonus Horror is that, the first time I saw it, I thought the actual premise was pretty good, but the execution was awful. I remember distinctly telling my friend that a big budget remake would probably be a decent movie.

Also, we should have a MST3K night one of these days. Or nights.
