I'm all kinds of excited about T13 Warrior.

My favorite Warrior sets are T3/7, T6/9, T12 and now T13 is my favorite. It will look good on Female Orc, that helm/shoulder combination favors characters that stand up straight. I'd like to see the helm on Tauren and Trolls.

Tauren Paladin T12 helm is hillaaarrrious. You showing your helm off Thilena? hahahahaaha

You should see T11, it's horrifying.

Come to think of it, the only pally tier helm I've seen on a pally at this point that I like was T4 (well, and T9), Tauren heads just wreck the geometry of every paladin set.

EDIT: Come to think of it, it's the price we pay for being able to wield weapons the size of Blood Elves.

So far the sets have looked good, although Warrior and Warlock tend to look good most of the time. I am still bracing myself for how they plan on fucking up the Rogue set this time...

Well so far they're debuting the sets in reverse alphabetical order. Which means shaman is next. That's gonna be the set that makes or breaks me sticking around with WoW to be honest, since I'm mostly done with the game in every way.

I just can't get into WoW anymore. I don't have it within me to grind out the 50k gold that everything costs in the AH and I just can't force myself to memorize 20+ keybinds.

I'm playing super casual until The Old Republic comes out, then I'll get my WoW fix there with a fresh game.

That may just be coincidence. I think they almost always do Warrior first. I suspect there are certain classes where it's really easy to design a set around them because they have a strong theme. Warriors and Warlocks are definitely two of those. Mages and maybe Druids may also fit in this catagory, although the last few Druid sets were god-awful (seriously, wtf was Druid T10?)

We'll see I guess though. I think the problem with the Rogue sets is they ran out of ideas after Burning Crusade. The Wrath sets were all awful and the Cata ones were even worse so far (seriously, why the fuck did they give us mage shoulders and a turban? T11 makes us look like fucking genies, not rogues). Aside from T11 though, they do usually do ok with most of the set - but it's always the helmet they totally fuck up. I mean, really... a sadface (t7), a fucking zombie head (t8), bird beak (t9 alliance) or weird plate-like helm (t9 horde), a god damn potato sack (t10), a turban (t11) and another bird beak (t12).... quit making our helms look like stupid things! T8 was almost ok if they would have removed the stupid zombie mask from it. Hoods, facemasks, scarves... it's not rocket science....

Is this explicitly stated or conjecture? Two data points is hardly a trend.

You could always just play like buddies aunt from the top post. I don't mind trying to talk you out of jumping off the edge. What do you enjoy about the game? If it's having the best gear that makes you feel compelled to blow 50k on an item, try raiding instead. It's free and possibly fun with the right group. Can't find the right group? Server transfer for $25. I hear malganis has like 10+ boe epic drops of every firelands item and with that amount of competition, you're not going to have to pay 50k for anything. On top of that, you'll probably be more likely to find other people to play with.

  • reVersereVerse The shadow's come to stay Registered User regular
Well that's just the thing, I used to like raiding and I was pretty awesome at it, but that part of the game's gone completely by me.

Also, I refuse to play poorly. That's not even an option. I will always put in my A-game... which is part of the problem because my A-game requires so many keybinds I just can't. Which means that I play poorly, and that is unacceptable for me, and the game isn't fun because I'm now crap at it.

I have heard good things about this guy:

I personally bought one awhile back and hated it though. I stick with the 20+ key binds. What class do you play?

Conjecture. We'll find out though. Blizzard seems to be doing the debuting this time. I'm use to tier armor previews being the result of datamining. Plus there's the whole retrospective thing going on. Which leaves out T3. probably because you can't obtain it anymore. And they don't want to show people it when the fuckin' customization thing is coming up on us.

I would argue that warlocks, shaman, druids, and paladins are the easiest themed classes.

Rogue sets I can agree to sorta dropping the ball. It's not a hard theme to fulfill, but they try to go SO OUT THERE that they end up making awkward looking stuff. It still looks alright as far as I'm concerned but it could be better.

Yeah, I found it weird that according to their images, they're counting AQ stuff as T3 (which looks really, really bad when put with all the other sets) and just sweeping under the rug the whole reused naxx armor deal. I wouldn't mind if they gave us a way to get T3 again.

No they're not. They have it listed as 2.5 in the image. They've mentioned they might make a way to get T3 again but it's not a priority due to Naxx still serving up stuff that looks like it. They've also mentioned that "get your gear back" stuff they might be doing would essentially be husks of the original item: gear with the same looks but with just +1 to a stat so they're only useful for transmogging.

No, it was tied to the elemental theme of the expansion - in this case, Hunters got Water. Theoretically you could say it was maybe tied to the dropped Abyssal Maw raid...

Well, it makes sense that loot you get from that raid looks like it belongs there. Of course, why these giant-sized dudes have relatively smaller-sized suits of magic druid armor just lying around is another matter.

I think this philosophy worked when the gear was based on the gear the bosses wore (eg Zul'Aman) and not gear based on the actual boss itself.

After monitoring thousands of Firelands kills, we've concluded that Retribution’s damage was not where we wanted it to be, so we're going to increase Censure damage by roughly 40%. We'll also be keeping an eye on paladin damage as we move towards patch 4.3. We expect that this hotfix should be applied sometime later today.

We're also considering shifting some of the damage from Hammer of Wrath into other attacks. While that may not necessarily cure some of the current concerns about proc reliance, it should help smooth out damage a bit.

That's from AQ40 and looks terrible for every class. I know for druids it was their first set that was feral focused but I don't know anything about the other classes' sets.
