My gift should reach my santee tomorrow or the day after.
Actually it was today. And it's awesome! Thank you for the Cygnar Battlegroup, my good man. Rest assured that it will be put to good use. Now, off to the warmahordes thread with me!

All right, Santee, Part One is shipping now from some game store on Earth.
How many more parts will there be, you ask?
Depends on if this scratch-off ticket is worth anything.

Heh... de nada!
Battleboxes are such an awesome Christmas gift. My +1 got me Menoth's last year. They're like the perfect size.
OK, Santee, Part Two is shipping now from, umm, somewhere in this galaxy.
How many more parts could there possibly be??!! I'm not even sure myself.
You're mailing each piece of a character warjack in an individual envelope, right?
I'll be honest, I've been tempted to do just that in the past. Day one: You got a hand. Day two, maybe a leg...
But I've always resisted the temptation.
Also Santee, you'll be happy to know I've got your present for you (or you would be if you knew who you were). Now I just need to wrap and ship it out.

Now that would just be mean, kinda like a Fatal Attraction gifting. Hmm, maybe...
I can't sleep. It's nearly 3am in the morning and I'm wide awake.
Instead, I've been typing this. Maybe it'll get you in the Christmas mood Santas and Santees.
Twas night before the Emperor's mass, and all through the hive,
Not a creature was stirring, at least, none now alive;
The work boots were set near the fires by pair
In hopes that the Emperor would guard them with care
The Inquisitors hunched at the desks by their beds
While heretics and mutants burned in their heads
My Guard detachment stationed in the dank western stadia
Where waiting for orders, dispatched from Arcadia.
When out on the platform there arose so much noise
I started to the barracks to wake up my boys.
But first to my locker I flew like a flash
Grabbed my peaked cap, and my red silken sash
The light of the guard towers on the fresh poured concrete
Reflected quite brightly, it looked clean and neat
When what to my wondering eyes should be seen
But a brutalized Thunderhawk, marked as Ultramarine
With a weathered old sergeant, with an expression so glum
I knew in a moment, all hell had come
Slower then needed, my men arose and assembled
And I screamed and threatened till an army they resembled
Up butchers! Up killers! And you, armor pilots!
No time left for sleeping, it's time now for violence!
Charge your damned lasguns, on with your vest!
The Emperor calls, let's give him our best!
And my brave soldiers rose and equipped
And finally dressed, we headed out of our crypt
I saluted the sergeant who turned slowly around
From his great height he looked me straight down
He was dressed in ceramite, save for his head
It was worn and cracked, showed wounds that had bled
A heavy bolter he had strung on his back
And he looked weary as he looked over my pack
His eyes were rock hard, his countenance of granite
He said a few words "We draw the line here. On this planet..."
His mighty voice laid the hard facts out straight
"The Tyranids are here, and you're next on the plate"
My men did me proud upon hearing this news
They set straight to work, willing to pay their dues.
The marines were deployed, to the south and the north
Each waiting for targets, the horde to pour forth.
Our armor headed east, and a detachment west
Fearing we'd die, but we'd pay out our best.
The darkening sky, a sharp twist of dread
And soon we were facing a sharp toothful head
We spoke not a word, but went straight to our work
With lasguns and bolters, we butchered the jerk.
The marines fought their battles, and a little pride rose
My men fought hard too, and made telling blows
The battle lasted through three long hellish nights
Then the chittering horde gave up on their fights
The marines boarded their 'hawk, ere they flew out of sight
The Emperor protects, and to all a good night.
Dear Santee,
All the parts for your gift have arrived, so now I must assemble and paint it, and then return it to the wilds of the international postal system to make its way to you.
Sadly the international shipping deadline for Japan is basically tomorrow, so I doubt it will reach you before Xmas day
unless you come to Japan before then!
Who's still left from the list of Santees? The Santas really seemed to be early and on their game this year.

Edit: OH CRAP ignore me. That's what I get for reading another secret santa thread that isn't the one I'm actually participating in. Nothing to see here...

I got home to a rather large package. I have no idea who it's from, but it has my screen name on it so I know it's Secret Santa, just not sure which one.
I open the big brown box and this is what I see:
Oh what could it be?
Wow. I can't wait to put these to the test. I am now awash in paint. And I don't need to get that pink now.
I figured I would get you paints since you've mentioned you have a limited selection at your local store. I also couldn't quite figure out what models you had already bought for your nids. You also posted so many colour schemes, so I covered all the bases for you.
I hope you enjoy them. I haven't used that brand myself, but I've read some good things.

And for my next act...
Seriously, thanks! This is gonna be awesome!!!

I have one questions about those foam trays in those boxes. The long slots are for paint brushes, what are the two short rectangles for? They don't show in the pics I took, but they are right in front of the slit for brushes.
I really don't know for sure, since I've never seen the case in person, but it looks like it's one long cutout. So you can put long brushes in and the two dividers hold them tight?
valhalla13013 Dark Shield Perceives the GodsRegistered Userregular
That's in one of the pics I put up, but right in front of that are two small rectangular cut-outs. I don't really seem to have anything paint or modeling related that woudl fit by itself, but it could hold a variety of things.
I got into work today and found two packages on my chair! One was the noise cancelling headphones I ordered from groupon a month and a half ago, but the other was from a mysterious game store I'd never heard of. Inside were reinforcements for my dirty xeno armies:

Well, even if that's the case, you can still claim you got me something: disappointment.
I just like claiming any possibility of gifts. I'll be right one of these days.
