We are less than one week away, people. We still need more Santas! I've added my code into the list to hopefully inspire the other Canadians. Now there's no reason why you can't sign up, because you'll be guaranteed a least a gift from me!

My game list will eventually come. And I'm really not kidding about the controllers.....although, I have the original Classic Controller and not the Pro. I guess there's that.

I redeemed my points and registered the people I didn't already have in my address book. It was nice to check a console's online store without having to spend 10 minutes downloading a system update.

Worst case scenario, maybe BTP and Willeth can do a Steam Unsecret Santa or something like that. I always feel awful for those who don't make it in. Curse Nintendo's region locking fetish!

Unfortunately for that idea, I don't Steam. But that shouldn't leave out Willeth.

Curiously enough, there were 3 Canadians for the first year I did this. Then 2 for the next year (which was last year), and now there's just one (me). And it could be that next year will be none depending on what happens with Wii U.

I'll be interested in what they do with the Virtual Console on the WiiU. If you can transfer all of your games over, if they get around to making SNES SuperFX/3rd Party N64 playable, if they cut the prices or add weekly sales, etc. (I cringe at paying $5 for an 8-bit game and $8 for a 16-bit game when I can get PS1 games for $6 on PSN)

Edit: Even the regular secret santa has been on a steady decline in participants. When I was waiting for it to begin, I got really bored and made a line graph for the last several years.

A question for @urahonky and @grove: Has my name lit up for either of you in the Wii address book? Both of your names are still greyed out for me and I'm starting to worry something went wrong somewhere. You two were the only ones I had to add this year, but I've triple checked all of the numbers.

However, please don't forget to update your info. Some of your "Add me!" posts are still lacking games lists, and it could be difficult on your Santa to figure out what games you'd like. Not to mention it would get frustrating on your Santa if the Wii is constantly denying to send a gift because they're being told you already have the game. They wouldn't have to go through that if you'd just put a games list.
