Someone sell me on Solar 2. I just watched the trailer on steam and it looked cool but I have no idea what the point of the game is.
The point? Well, there's a variety of missions to partake in, you can also just do whatever and try to build the star system with the most stars in it, just growing planets and stars. it's very free-form, but once you beat the game, you get challenges and cheats and all sorts of good fun stuff to do.
Hmm. That could be pretty cool. I'll think it over. Its between that and some Jedi Outcast action.
@DaringDIrk has just gifted me Sequence (as it looks like many others as well! You crazy goose!) The classy train never stops on this board. Thanks Dirk!

So I got this for free when I crafted 7 coal. It's a fun little game. You start off as an asteroid and crash into other asteroids to increase your mass. Collect enough mass and you become a planet. Now you can capture asteroids in your orbit and when you push a certain button, you absorb them into your mass. Once you reach a certain mass, you become a "life planet" and an evolution meter starts filling up. Once the evolution meter fills up, ships start launching off of your planet and you get shielded from taking damage.
Eventually you can become a star with orbiting planets. You can either absorb them into your mass or build them up. At any time you can save your solar configuration and load it up, which is really handy.
There are also missions you can start at any time, and they can be weird.
The Solar 2 demo was pretty fun but man...I think it's just gonna be like Osmos and any number of other smaller quick play games I have on my list. I'll play it for a few hours, have a good time, and then not touch it again because my gaming time goes to the "meaty" games like Skyrim and stuff.
I have a 66% off Modern Warfare 2 and a 33% off Valve titles for any takers that want it. You don't even have to trade it with me (though if you do, I wouldn't mind some of the new Magicka DLC)

Once again, anyone for the DOW Retribution gift pile achievement?
So I'm back from visiting family/not having Internet. I don't have time to read 800 pages of Steam thread so I'll just guess at their contents and you guys can tell me how close I am:
Everyone gifted everyone everything
OMG Skyrim is discounted WTF
"I crafted a 5% off Bad Rats coupon out of 15 coal"
"[Free to play game with achievement] won't let me log in because the servers are melted piles of slag"
"How long does it take to get [achievement x] in [game x]?"
"Don't rush through Bastion just to get the achievement"
"Why did I buy Wings of Prey when IL-2 went on sale the next day?"
And you're back just in time for [Tell everyone to buy republic commando]
I'll probably pull the trigger on Sequence when I get home tonight. It nicely finishes off my budget for the sale and looks like something my 2 year old would like to watch.
managed to get past 1-11 on Bit.Trip Runner, but damn that next level is hard.
the boss is actually easier than 1-11 in my opinion, though my wife is stuck on that level.. the game gets a whole lot easier again after those 2 levels

I recommended Bastion for today's achievement. I got 50% off of Cogs.
Now, don't get me wrong. I think Cogs is a fine game. But really now... I would have preferred one more piece of coal so I could craft something. Even if it also just resulted in 50% off Cogs.

I just did. 33% off Telltale games.
But hey, I can't be arsed to not get anything from the Steam lottery.
EDIT: But not as bad as this TOTP.

If it had been regular ammunition and normal guns it would've felt pretty boring and kind of lame.

RDR is only on the Xbox 360. A ton of people have been crying out for a PC port, but Rockstar has said nothing.
