Dude's classy. :3
Now that I'm open to dating again, I'm kind of nervous about my shelf of toys. The non-sexual kind. Originally, I was only going to put out the Transformers, and I figured maybe one or two 3' shelves, and they'd be in the computer room and not the main living space. That's accommodating for most people, right? Well I started unboxing them ... they've taken up an 8' shelf and then some. Like, a few on the shelf above. So fuck it I said, now they're in the living room, and anyone who has a huge problem with them I probably wouldn't get along with anyways. That's right ... Optimus is my pass-or-fail test for relationships.
Well, not really, because if someone came into my life and said something like "I don't mind the toys, but can we put pictures up here instead, and here let me help you put this shelf up" or something like that I'd be cool. Some people demanded that they'd be constrained to my desk and my desk alone. The nerve.
Also to eliminate clutter, I was going to box up the DVD cases and have the actual DVDs in a binder, but now I have more shelf space than I needed so they can stay. Eventually though this is the plan; no real reason to have so much space filled with cardboard.
As you come in there's a tiny bathroom on your left.
Then there are two bookshelves against each other. This one is books, bourbon and movies.
The other, mostly comic books, D&D, Warmachine hobby stuff. So many models to paint.
Wheeling around the corner, there's my tiny ass kitchen.
Turning around to see the new IKEA bed, which I somehow built well enough not to fall apart.
And finally the "living room" which has my bed in it and my laundry in the nook. I've even got a nice view of a concrete wall.
... and I cough for every crater that I could see, / on the surface of that coffin we've come to call the moon." Circle Takes the Square
I've bought movies on the virtue of their box alone, while my favorite movies ever haven't been bought because they have super shitty box art
I feel the same way too, at least about some of them. I'd probably leave a few out, just like have my favorite books on primo shelves, and some not-so-often touched ones in back.
got an idea for some shelves to make though, just gotta get the time and buy some lumber for it
maybe ill take new pictures as we've got rid of a lot of stuff/i've cleaned the hell out of the bathroom
t metroidzoid any one part of someones life can alienate another person
it all depends in a persons personal stake in something
if you are super invested, like just brimming with a whole house worth of toys then i can see someone getting a little spooked
i mean, if i were single and were trying to hook up with a guy/lady and when i get inside the house it is actually snoopy themed then you know i'm not the devil if i am a little spooked

There's one thing that if I saw more than two I would do a 180. Precious Moments. That shit scares the fuck out of me.
My roommate got a nerf basketball hoop, I brought us a new TV and a couple more objects for my desk + wall.
I will take more pictures of a good quality once the basketball hoop is up, I feel it will help the ambiance.
You can also find me on Twitter if you want to be inundated with my horrid opinions off the forums, too!

but the drive to work would be terrible. and they're right at the top of my budget. but look at all that exposed brick!
Follow me on Twitter??
I have the six-drawer version. Putting it together made me want to strangle someone, though.
How much would you pay me to do it for you? I LOVE putting stuff together, I managed to put together 2 4 drawer MALM dressers in about 25 minutes.

The doctor said if it was a fracture it'd have probably turned black and blue, and it never looked bruised at all, but who knows
My fracture never bruised

"If you don't know who Kendra is, I'm officially not speaking to you."
Whoa. I will say, though, that I put the dresser together after assembling a bed and a desk. So I may have been dipping into a psychosis.
I did have a teacher once who went to a doctor a week after injuring her hand only to discover she'd actually crushed like 9 small bones in her wrist, crazy
But yeah, it could also be nothing! I just know that it's not right, and it's not improved in the two weeks since I hurt it!
in my defense I had only manual tools, carefully read the instructions and doublechecked all the parts before proceeding because I didn't want to take it apart
don't want that loose cannon furniture assembly around here
e: also topically, do you prefer to glue your ikea furniture or trust in the designer knowing how many points of attachment is enough?
