Is the 5pm the time we should be there, or the time that the restaurant will be seating us?

    - Biting's excellent! It's like kissing. Only there's a winner.

I think that's the time the restaurant will be seating us? Good question, I'd like some clarification on what that time means as well. :rotate:

I believe it means "Show up at 5, we get kicked out at 7, we will likely eat in the middle."

The restaurant won't be "seating us" per-se as we have a private room reserved. It will likely be "go to this room, and find a seat".

Per request, I created a ticket that acts as solely an invite and costs nothing. This ticket only confirms you have signed up for the dinner and you will order off the restaurant's full menu.

    Thanks for doing this!

So this is not the ticket we should sign up for, if we are ordering off the menu that was posted in the original post?

I think the menu would need to include mudcrab.

If you are choosing a pre listed meal, then this is NOT the ticket you should choose.

I don't believe that's a simple thing on the front end. Acumen may be able to change your choice on the back end.

There will need to be a point where it is "locked in" though so the restaurant knows how much stuff to have on hand.

Right. I haven't looked at the menu for the restaurant yet, so if anything I'd be switching to the reservation only option.

Just an FYI -- the "End" date on the Fish & Chips option is currently set to 4/5/12 instead of 3/26/12 ;)

    Team Cheeseburger, HO!

(I love fish and chips but I don't want to smell like vinegar all night. These are the girliest of worries. Also, cheeseburgers and parenthetical notes are delicious.)

Can't wait to see everyone there!

    Got mine!

    Also...
More importantly, you MUST have your ticket upon arrival and I will check them! You can either have your ticket printed out or have your cell phone with the Eventbrite app installed and signed in.
As far as I can tell the Android version of the app will not have your ticket information to check in and is only useful for event organizers.

Remembering from last year, it is far easier for the event coordinator to see your paper ticket than to show it on a smartphone.

I'll talk to my friend and see if he's interested in doing this, but I'm definitely in.

Also need to make sure I get Thursday/Friday off...

Also also: What time is hotel checkin usually? I'd like to drop my shit off in my room before going to this since this is relatively early.

  • HandgimpHandgimp R+L=J Family PhotoRegistered User regular
3 PM is normal check-in, but most hotels will hold your luggage if your room is not yet available. Personally, I've always been able to check in prior to that - but it depends if your room was rented the previous day and needs to be cleaned.

I'll wager a guess that you won't be the eldest. I have no proof of this, but PAX tends to have a wide age range, and so do many of the pre-PAX events.
