The Kasumi DLC should be one of the first things you do. It's a fantastic mission, the weapon you get in it one of the best in the game, and she's an awesome crew member.
So we get stiff once in a while. So we have a little fun. What’s wrong with that? This is a free country, isn’t it? I can take my panda any place I want to. And if I wanna buy it a drink, that’s my business.
I didn't like it. The combat was button mashy, the story and setting appeared derivative, and the camera wasn't conducive towards looking around at the world and you're limited in your exploration (the minimap shows you the available paths, anything not on the path is just scenery).
What a slow, boring Saturday. Literally nothing to do until the party tonight.

Actually I take that back about the combat being button mashy. It can be, but a few times I managed to do some cool things with the dodging and the shield that requires some thought and reaction finesse.
I say that mostly because I have used a real machinegun and fuck did I love that weapon
also, you never feel more boss than when in uniform, with 100 rounds of ammunition in ammo belts around your neck, and a 1.2 metre machinegun on your shoulder
wait, correction
you never look more boss than that
but you feel a lot more boss when you're firing it
I've started playing Ocarina of Time yesterday. I'm really not impressed.
Maybe I'm too old for video games.
Play Majora's Mask.
It's the same game tech-wise, but in a setting that has this delicious flavour about it.
Seriously.
EDIT: Also it's p dark, which I always love about a setting.
The tech is what bugs me the most. The 3D stuff is bad. Half the time I can't see what's in front of me, or I go forward but end up a little diagonal from where I wanted to be.
2D Link to the Past was much easier and more fun to play.
although, when doing my CHAAAAAARGE thing it's awesome
at long range you have the viper, a high quality weapon in and of itself
at mid ranges it's accurate enough given the volume of rounds and the option of fire in bursts
at short ranges it. fucks. everything.

it may be good at mid ranges, as good as other assault rifles

have you read her Shadow Broker dossier?

I can't use SMG's (A soldier! not able to use every weapon! Shocking, this is!)
but I always equip my smged companions with it because I love the sound
I love love LOVE that thing.
I click so fast that it unloads faster than an auto.
Mattock. It's a DLC.
And fuck do I love it.
Until just recently, I thought it was like Lair of the Shadow Broker in that it was a separate storyline, and didn't affect the main game at all.
I didn't mean the Cain, I got the name wrong. The sniper rifle I'm using is called the Widow.
The heavy weapon I usually use is the collector laser gun. Is the Arc Projector that much better? The description wasn't very exciting.
the "no true scotch man" fallacy.
First half I used the avenger, though, because a plain machinegun is something you miss.
it has a lot of nice bonuses that are kind of wasted if you wait
and the gengars who are guiding me" -- W.S. Merwin
ooooh.
Well, no, it's just another companion, and her loyalty mission. Which is a good one.
Plus, she's always fun to talk to.
my engineer is running the vindicator
my soldiers always use the revenant
Arrival is best saved until the very end, story impact-wise
This never occurred to me. Huh.

I would try the demo.
That sounds awesome.
the "no true scotch man" fallacy.
The Ainu would like to have a word.
the Avenger is a better machinegun than the revenant
I would love it to absolute death if it's "gimping" wasn't just insane inaccuracy, but that you had to deploy it
and if it had some sort of sci-fi ammo belts because ammo belts are awesome
i prefer machine guns that can actually kill things
(avenger sux)
(collector rifle sux)
(geth pulse rifle sux)

the revenant doesn't hit anything!
Are they a real culture? I thought they were just a made up group for Shaman King
in shogun 2 you can trade for iron with them
well, it spews enough bullets to hit but like
I feel I'm wasting like 90% of them when at range

MATTOCK.
they are the locust and revenant

this is wonderful
tried to play Ocarina of Time
it felt like... the same game, only more "generic fantasy"-ish

it may be good at mid ranges, as good as other assault rifles
but I don't want it to be good
I want it to be great
i can empty that thing in like three seconds
