Heh, thanks. I don't remember the last time I really dressed up for Halloween, so all the positive reaction I got from it was quite pleasing. Unfortunately, I did not have a Dodson, and even more unfortunately, I found out two of my friends dressed up as Elly and Grant and my other friends dressed their baby up in a dinosaur costume, but I wasn't invited to that party.
The real shame of it was my friend and I had devised a way to turn the Barbasol can into a(n inaccurate) replica of the can from the movie, but we didn't have the time to get it all set up. So in the end, I just went with the regular Barbasol can.
I still have the name badge lying around here, though.

this outfit is great and having a shy/wallflower friend be dodson would be perfect. you could tell him to wear the shades, hat and shirt. "oh, you're a spy..." then when you get to a party you're just constantly blowing up his spot all night. WE GOT DODSON! might make him friends. even lady friends.
