    Our biannual Disney trip

Holy cow. Do you live nearby or something? I haven't been to Disney since I was 7, and then a quick half-day trip when my sister graduated from a college in Florida and we went down for that.

I may be using the term "biannual" incorrect, but I mean "Every other year."

And it's kinda said jokingly because we went in November 2010 and we're going again this October...hence biannual.

Prior to 2010 the last time I had been was like 1998. :P (And like '94 and '89 before that.)

Edit: I do live nearer-by than you...still flying though.

That's still more often than some people get to go :p

Edit: And if it's every other year, it'd be biennial

    Excuse my poor grammar. :D

We used to take lots of vacations when I was younger, and my father was proactive enough to make sure they were all educational or at least culturally relevant...Washington D.C., The Grand Canyon, Gettysburg, etc. I don't envy the kids I grew up with that went to Six Flags in the least.

But in 2001 our aging grandparents (On my mother's side) moved in with us, and their care more or less stopped vacations in our family. So, our trip in 2010 was the first real "vacation" I had been on in almost a decade. It was myself, my sister, and my brother-in-law, and since we're all 8-year-olds inside our head anyway it was awesome.

So we're doing it again, but this time my girlfriend is coming with us.

    Lucky bastard. <3

This was us. We would tent/trailer camper camp all over the place. Though we never left the eastern seaboard states except for a trip to Tennessee once, and business trips with my dad to Mississippi and St. Louis (technically it was Illinois, but we went to see the arch). Historical sites were big, but also just to travel and enjoy different areas, like stopping in each state from NJ to Maine and back, and heading to Florida.

My wife gets car-sick, so unfortunately I don't see us doing that as much without causing her physical pain. She can't stand car trips that are over an hour. Two hours tops.

Was about to say this, but I have to be honest and say I had to look it up. :)

I'll get my streetpasses in July at the Zelda concert. In other 3DS news, I started my third playthrough of Find Mii 2. I have now completed every area in the short game except for the locked one. Need to find that key. I'm in the throne room right now, ran out of play coins after getting 2 blues for the fire room. But once I complete this I'll restart the "Secret" mode that's longer and work through each of those paths (went through once, I think I took the top choice at each fork).

My Mii now has a top hat. :D

Hm. Are the hats randomized in Find Mii II? Because the top hat was the very first one I got.

Also, how do you find the key? Do you just pray a monster drops it on death?

For all of those out there getting the presell Kid Icarus 3D Classic, I'm about to do you a huge favor and write up some tips to make your game experience much smoother. If you've never played the original, be prepared for an old-school, brutally difficult game. But with MNC Dover's tips, you should fare much better.

No they are not randomized. They show up on specific paths. However, if you're playing Secret Quest, specific paths have multiple hats so you'll have to go down that path again in another playthough to get the other hat(s).

Keys show up on certain paths. Rest assured that you won't ever "miss" getting the key. However, you'll definitely have to do multiple playthroughs to get all the keys. They may show up in place of a hat.
When you replay Find Mii 2 does it show you which paths you have taken previously?

Locations (the little circles) you've previously been to are brown, black if you haven't. White circles are the ones you hit on your current playthrough.

Here are my tips for Find Mii II:

    1) Upper paths are easy while the lower ones are harder.
    2) Go through every single route thrice.
    3) Only worry about curse gas for buying a dispelling draft. Yeah, it's a little touger, but you're better off using Play Coins to hire more Miis. Just whittle the monsters down.
    4) If a mummy shows up, always go after the mummy. If two mummies show up, go after the bigger mummy. Mummies have healing powers (including resurrection) and can scare off your lead Mii.
    5) If you have a mummy and a reaper, bring backup to clear curse gas or if your lead Mii gets scared off.
    6) If it's a room with a status that requires specific-colored Miis, it's usually a mummy or reaper or both that you'll have to fight after clearing the room status.
    7) Make sure to always hit 1,000 steps per day so you can get your 10 Play Coins. My quick protip is to shake your 3DS lengthwise, like you're shaking a soda. I found that twisting your wrist to shake it or waving it like a fan doesn't work as well to rack up steps.

I'll go ahead and back off on my criticism of some of the GB/GG games. I get that there is an audience and I thought they put out Sonic GG - I didn't notice it was the 3rd one which, while I'm not going to buy, I understand isn't a terrible game. I still wish we'd get away from the old handheld titles because I'm hopeful for more NES/SNES/Genesis titles - but I get that some of the handheld stuff has an audience.

I do wonder when more of the console games actually start hitting (assuming they do) how it will effect sales of the handheld stuff and how many people will actually go back and play the handheld versions.

As much as I'd love to see SNES games on the eshop, the GB and GG games do make a lot more sense considering the 3DS is a handheld.

But Mario RPG, Super Metroid, All Stars, DKC 1,2, and 3, A Link to the Past...I don't think I'd ever leave the house without my 3DS if we got these games.

Colors! 3D will be released onto the North American eShop on April 5, as reported by Jens Andersson, founder of the series.

I would LOVE Wii-3DS virtual console accounts to be tied, so that I can play the same games on both systems. I have noticed that I am a lot more willing to spend money on virtual console titles for my 3DS, simply because of the added incentive of it being very easily portable, but having it also on my Wii would be very nice.

Moreso, I would really just enjoy having the SNES/NES games available on my 3DS. I don't have time to sit down and play games as much anymore, I am more on the move, etc. But being able to sit back and load up Super Mario World? Wonderful.
